They did not get a warning or sent messages by anyone. PS just requires it, and they missed it before. PS probably did get the warnings, and why they require it for their games though ;)
To be clear; No-one got a warning, and PlayStation wasn’t involved. I just brought it up as we initially became aware of the issue when wanting to release on PlayStation, but this one slipped by, I guess.

Also not really a safety precaution. The protected use of the symbol actually makes sense, so there’s no reason for us not to comply with the guidelines - we already did a pass for PlayStation, so not sure how we missed it. Maybe someone deemed it different enough, and we then forgot about it.
So you did get subnauticaed? Because that sounds like what happened with subnautica.

Just a note; We didn’t get “subnauticaed”. We realized that we had some imagery that came close to resembling the standard red cross, that missed the pass we did when launching on PlayStation (it’s required there) and decided that we might as well change it.

They would only have to delay the PC release once and then it would be in sync with console for future updates. Then we could also get crossplay.
Unfortunately, that wouldn’t work. The console version also comes out later because it needs extra testing. We’re a small team, and testing + releasing on several platforms at once is very hard and time consuming.
I used to play on console and I asked the question and Jacob gave me this answer. That update had a delay with verification and was like 6 weeks late.
Yeah, that delay was messed up.
This fact is further corroborated by the fact that the Microsoft Store version of Deep Rock Galactic on PC is also subject to the two-week delay, while the Steam version is not.
It’s essentially the same version as on Xbox and crossplay in itself needs to be released with the compatible versions.

Just FYI: a shotgun wont blow up if you load it with a .50 BMG round and pull the trigger.
The neck of the cartridge isn't supported so pressure can't really build, it just blows past the bullet.
IIRC the bullet does leave the barrel, but it has the energy of a wet fart powering it.
Edit: it's a little setting off a firecracker on an open palm, it's only only once you close your fist around the firecracker that the damage happens.
Many battles have been lost to wet farts. No wars as of yet, though.
