Aloha,

So the UU's were never introduced to either "buff," "re-vitalize" or due to any type of power creep occurring in the game.

They were introduced to specifically change how a ship can be utilized or employed in battle. Case in point the example I always use is the Republique's UU, it decreases her main battery reload time to barely over 19s while reducing her main battery gun range to 19km's, for some, this is not a buff. For others this makes her be played differently than they normally would play.

Many of the UU's simply were/are not effective due to their penalties. case in point Shimakaze, you pretty much HAVE TO stay on one course and use the ship as the launcher in order to line her torps up.

With the release of several new tier X's, we intend to add more UU's. Furthermore, when we talk about modifying the current ones, I am guessing some of those changes will be to make them, well useable and worth the purc...

I think the biggest problem, at least from what I've seen, it's the same as the cruiser mentality of "I have torps there for I have to use them!"

Gasc has good gun range, so people think they HAVE to stay at the max range for some reason. I tend to play her at mid-range, not really taking shots until about 10-15kms and I tend to do really well.

I took her out last night just to test and had 3 back to back battles where I threw up over 120k dmg without really flinching all while taking about 2 million potential. And that is with a full secondary build, not a survivability build!

Just my 2 credits.

Fixed! We have no idea why it didn't work, we literally copied and pasted the exact same url into the linky and POW.... I guess re-aligning the electrons was necessary?

It's because the numbers of battles required is now lower to get through the new player experience stuff, so it's compensation to make up for the work we old peeps had to do to get through ours. I can take it all back if ya want ;)

I can agree with that, I think Roma and Gascogne's problems lie more in a consistency issue though. I might have had some amazing dispersion shots and then next salvo had RNGeezus basically say "NOPE." HOWEVER, with both BB's i have learned to move into mid if not closer range so dispersion has been not such an issue. I do agree that Roma is the "I don't play this" port queen due to her issues....

I have had some insane shots with Gasc though at max range where I cit'd tier X BB's. I'll see if I can do some digging and see if we intend to address these two, cause I mean, you give me a buffed Gasc and I'll be a happy Chief!

GET LUTJENS! Very good well rounded Capt... plus, in a secondary ship its a lol-boat when you hit the 100 secondary hits, but OH MAN when in a Hinden after 140 main battery hits and AR!!!

Just curious, how is the Gascogne so bad? I do very well in mine. And it's definitely a ship that is underappreciated and under utilized in my opinion....

Just keep in mind, what was listed in the devblog post this morning was everything you COULD be given with the below caviat.

"Please note: Players who started playing before the release of Update 0.9.1 will receive all-new rewards for already completed stages, minus what was already received in the old version of the service record."

If you look at my current stats in my signature below..... YES, I definitely do. Some of the more unicum players may not, but I play for fun, not too worried about my stats, sometimes stuff works, sometimes stuff doesn't.... it happens as with all games.

LOL! At this time, reading over the dev notes, the only thing of note is a reduction in the number of battles required to move through the different account levels. Let me do some more digging and I'll pull up the actual details.
