the issue with jupons is that it would completely hide the armor tier, making t3 look like t1
if we added a specific t3 armor with one and some obvious visual indicators that it's still t3 that could work, but it's pretty difficult to do so without tearing holes in it..

Lots of other weapons they could make, like Sling, War Scythe, Spetum, Glaive... tho many could just as well be done as skins like a Voulge skin for the Bardiche.

flails have been shelved indefinitely at this point in time - we prototyped em a while back but they're too much work for 1-2 weapons max, since they're wobbly unlike a sword - requiring a lot of work to get that implemented.

we still WANT to add them to the game, but right now it's just not worth the dev time that can be spent on other things. maybe in the future, but not anytime soon

luckily existing cheats for mordhau kinda suck, since it's a melee game and since you can't just enable a god mode (afaik) lots of common cheats that are super op in other games aren't in this. wall hacks, ESP (seeing health/stam), aimbots etc all suck. I saw one cheat that gave you melee lockon, which actually makes you worse since you can't drag or accel lol

well it's not just less metal (although that's the main reason) but also because you can get away with using worse quality/less pure metal, and it's much easier to make a sharp triangle that doesn't need any flexibility, heat treating, etc. compared to a sword which is a 3mm thick stick that will fall apart if the metal is bad or it's not made correctly

anyways if I had to take a guess these were probably ceremonial, as it would be a liability in combat as well as probably mess up cuts

we'd definitely have to be careful to add it in a way that doesn't overlap with existing weapons and just add bloat. we already have like 30 swords as well, so we're looking to add new weapons that are not similar to existing ones

but sabres would be dope

the issue with a brigandine + placard (plackart?) is that you just don't really know what tier it would be, is it medium or heavy?
