Knee-jerk reaction is to flame Jagex for even more unpolled changes. Having said that, the gmaul needed a nerf. Bulwark too, but going from 18 to 0 is a little overkill. +6 or +8 would have been more appropriate, imo.
I'd be interested to know why you think +6 or +8 would be more appropriate. Why have you picked those numbers?
Unsurprisingly, PvPers are saying the change was too small rather than too large. We went with the smallest change that would still have a significant effect so we could monitor it and adjust further if needed. I think reducing it to +6 or +8 wouldn't make much of an actual difference in terms of how often a freeze catches.
So, for broad-stroking purposes, you did the equivalent of a find and replace for elf kits? Doesn't this imply that your numerous statements about it being impossible to revert all the elves were complete lies?
I don't know the technical details of how the models are implemented, but the reason we couldn't revert the new elf models is that they were made in the updated style so they didn't have "original" models that looked like the old elves.
Hopefully the upcoming BH rework will bring more life to PvP too.

A lot of thought has gone into the Rune pouch and we've settled on an outcome that we think best reflects everyone's interests as much as possible.

this has seriously got major consequences for wildy pures who use g maul will now not want to risk the g maul fighting against other pvp'r so they'll in turn go against the pvm'r who are forced into wildy to get drops such as d pick against there game style they want to play so now less people in wildy especially now entangle + tb wildy now dead content awesome work
The gmaul upgrade is no longer always lost on death. There'll be some meta shifts for sure, but that's normal for any PvP scene. Hopefully the upcoming BH rework will bring more life to PvP too.
Priestess Zul-Gwenwynig's model was changed unintentionally at the time other elves were changed. Her model now better represents her old clothing and is more suited to her environment.
How do you unintentionally change a model? woops just designed a new thing and implemented it teehee accident btw
Her model was comprised of several pieces of "elf kit" from other elves automatically. Something that was overlooked when the other models were changed.
On the Q&A, they said they will look into the impact of effigies. Do you know when we will get the results?
