Hey,

Thanks once again for compiling the information shared in the stream, u/ImRubic!
I'll just expand on/clarify a point or two mentioned from this composition.

Excavation
Time-sprites - Similar to Rockertunities but also slightly different.
Permanently present but requires you to be active and follow them around the excavation site.

There are numerous different excavation spots within a site and there's a Time Sprite active at each type of excavation spots. Consider some trees in Woodcutting as an example... an Oak, Willow, and Maple tree are different types of hotspots, but there is a Time Sprite that travels between the Oak trees, then another one that travels between the Willow trees and so on. You do not have to move to a dif...

3) how long is the "player owned nerds" expected to take? I really hope its not another ports that will take AGES along with rng to get done for comp/trim/mqc

4) when it comes to diploma's are we essentially gated behind getting those before we can advance to next parts of the skill? IE: say I hate processing sand, but I love unlocking relics, but processing 10,000 sand is required to get the level 20 diploma and without level 20 diploma I cant unlock level 30 content?

  1. Yes, the Archaeology outfits will boost XP gained during the embargo period.
  2. Yes, you'll discover Seren Spirits whilst training Archaeology.
  3. A tricky question to answer without spoiling anything, though I will say you will be expected to do an amount of Research missions for Comp/Trim reqs (Research is the official name for it), especially if you keep up with it on the road to level 120. There's also no RNG involved in completing the Research missions.
  4. Again, cautious of spoiling things we'd like you all to experience yourselves, discuss as a community and so on, but Qualifications (this is the official name for it) are very important to your progression. If you rewatch the video where it's mentioned, you might be able to work out the requirements for some of the Qualifications - most of which will tie into the core loop, so it shouldn't feel like this annoying task on the side and is actually more compli...

Okay, thanks. It is hard to discern what caused it, since all I did was put stuff into my bank. Hopefully with my settings and what not, they might be able to find the cause.

Great advice u/muzau, thank you!
Could you send me your user or display name please u/squirkey7 (in reply to this comment or via a direct message) and then we can work from said bug report so that we can find the reproduction steps for the issue you've experienced.
It's worth noting, we have found a bug within the bank this evening but it's no more than a minor issue, and there's currently no evidence confirming there's a serious bug is in play, but, as mentioned ...

Hey,

This has just been hotfixed, so that DXP now ends at 12:00PM GMT on Monday, the 2nd. Unfortunately, anybody who has had their time remaining reduced to 24hrs is unlikely to have their DXP time refunded at this time - this will only be doable on Monday once we have analytics to track who has lost time. Anybody who has yet to log in since this bug has surfaced will not be affected now that it's been hotfixed.

It would be extremely helpful if they had as there's still a lot of unknown information around this, such as which preset they tried to load, were the items in the preset the same as the inventory, did they have those same items in the bank, what they did beforehand and so on. If they can DM me with their display names so I can chase it up that'd be very much appreciated.

Not to worry - I've spoken with some other Mod's in Player Support and they have a list of all the affected users and will ensure their items are returned and the bug was hotfixed early Saturday afternoon.

Also thanks for responding to this topic! :)

We sure did, and that was part of the reason to reduce it in 7 man rather than upping duo, and as I mentioned, we have taken the data into consideration with the balancing.
My final point, I haven't start testing it yet so I might still find some issues/balancing concerns as I run playtests as so forth, so one or two things might still change. :)

Honestly we're so glad to be able to showcase content like this and see it receive such a positive response. I know there's already been discussions about how much more work is left, so for those concerned it'll get delayed for a period of time like previous Game Jam projects, try not to worry as we can all see how much you guys want this!

Additionally, if you have any further feedback or suggestions for additional rewards then please keep sending them our way (Mod Ryan's already mentioned we'll be reviewing the Marks of War design).

So a few worthy mentions:

  • We have data on kills times for players across the 10th, 25th, 50th, 75th and 90th percentiles for every boss, and that includes both duo and group mode Solak.I was also supplied some more information by a fellow 'Scaper (high level PvMer), with some of their own recorded data of average kill times which I could verify on our backend, so I have a reasonable idea of the kill times of the top ~1% of players.
  • Not to state the obvious... but we have the numbers for every item dropped, min/mean/max quantities of those items dropped, which items you can/can't get if you succesfully roll one item and so forth.
  • We have data on the average sell prices of items over a period of time, as well as every buy/sell over on the market.

With all that, and more, we can accurately calculate the expected kills per hour; GP per kill; items average contribution to a drop table, and ultimately the GP P/h per player and team. In this ...

Correct, and you can't roll both a crossbow and a grimoire. As for the MH & OH crossbow,
Crossbows are in a nested table, so if you roll 1/200 to get a crossbow, it'll then roll on the mainhand crossbow and if that roll fails you'll get an offhand.

This isn't a huge buff, I have the numbers on a spreadsheet with gp P/h and it was thought through.

It's definitely worse per player in 7 man (live), but the GP across modes isn't as bad as the difference between the bow drop rates because as a team you have more rolls on the misc table (Stave, pet, pages etc), and those drop rates don't differ across modes.

We had this fixed on Thursday in our test environments and it's been merged into your release build, so you can expect to see a fix on Monday. Apologies for the inconvience caused.

Seriously frustrating.

  • buff icons constantly shifting and rearranging making it pretty much impossible to find important icons

  • some fonts still unreadable

  • timers over an hour round down to the nearest hour instead of displaying an actually useful timer

  • stat boosting curses still display 4 separate icons when activated

Hey, I'm not but u/JagexPoerkie was collating feedback here https://twitter.com/JagexPoerkie/status/1174014971774197760 the other week should you want to add to that.

Hey, sorry, it is logged in our system as a high priroity bug, so we are aware of it. I only briefly looked at it the other day and can't remember the exacts deets but it was related to your buff bar resizing. As a temporary solution you might want to try disabling/resizing your buff bar and hopefully this will stop the disconnects. I'll chase it up tomorrow to see where we are at with it.
