I honestly don't know as I'm still on holiday.
For everyone's information, we've applied a fix a few hours ago that stops this from happening.
I think the title is harsher than it needs to be.
I think Jagex already knows our feedback. So I'm looking forward to Jagex correcting course (things seem hopeful).
But basically, there was some empty weeks/months of 2019 that left us wanting. Herblore 120 seems a bit empty with powerbursts leaving us wanting and no new herbs seems a bit odd to me. ROOT on paper sounded amazing, but I'm left wanting with that update, other posts that have been posted previously have detailed why, better than I can in a reply so look to those.
Quests are a huge reason why I played, personally, and this year and previous years have really left questers with very little to do or look forward to, what happened?
And of course the aggressive monetization really soured the majority of the year, but things look hopeful with the recent introduction to yak track.
I could go on but honestly I'm not sure this post is the place to write out all my grievances (and praise...
All good! Thank you and happy New year!
I would have loved to see some constructive feedback in this post. Regardless of this, happy New year everyone!
Can you tell me who to tag if you aren't the Jmod to notify?
I have submitted several bug reports already.
I'll always be lurking despite being on holiday
Yeah ok, will see how long that lasts for. Thought deadclicks were already fixed? lol
We will continue monitoring this closely. We took a pretty wide approach to it this time and aside from resolving it with prayer, we found an other 5+ instances of this which theoretically could happen and resolved those too.
Keep an eye out for the patchnotes on Monday!
It's looking amazing!
Thank you for sharing this with us
Doesnt seem to be working on mobile
This will be pushed to mobile shortly (and requires you to update the app)
Read moreThis is actually quite nauseating.
The most important thing that positioning and movement in a game is supposed to do is display what is going on in the game.
Beforehand, it did align to the squares and angles that the character, or entity in general I guess since it applies to NPCs as well, rested on. Besides rubber banding while waiting on animations, anyway. Now, there is clear disparity between where one is standing/looking, and where one is visually. It just doesn't portray what's actually going on anymore.
Trying to track both at the same time with my eyes and mind is incredibly disorienting, and thus nauseating. It's especially annoying when trying to surge. Seeing the player's angle slowly, slowly interpolated between angles makes it hard to tell where it's looking at that moment.
Now, I don't mind updates like this for people who don't care at all about the abstraction. Surely some people will like it.
RS3 camera is like that too; int...
Hey there,
Thanks for your feedback, we're absolutely listening to feedback and seeing if we need to make some further refinements. We'd also like to ask you all to give it a good go, because it might as well take a bit of time to get used to.
The point about it being slightly more difficult to see what angle you are is absolutely valid and is raised to the team. We are monitoring everything closely and nothing is off the table as of yet, this includes introducing things such as a 'classic movement' toggle.
Your character teleports a few tiles after you bladed dive sometimes, just a heads up.
I've let the team know.
VERY SMOOTH THANK U
www.twitter.com/jagexnin is the one you should thank!
prayer deadclicks fixed?
Not yet, but we're making good progress!
Hey there,
the button is displayed in the category interface, today's loot duels promo does have the 'categories' button disabled.
This is something we're aware of.
The major takeaway here is:
Having announced the decision to move from Java to NXT earlier this month, we wanted to let you know that we will be shutting down RuneScape's legacy Java client from December 18th 2019.
It absolutely is a big one!
