A little self promo here: I did the mathzzz. Short answer, no. Long answer if you played 2 hours a day and avg'd 6k exp a game it would take you upto the last day to hit 100.

Your math isn't correct. The minimum Battle Pass XP you can get from a 20 minute game (assuming you get the character bonus) is 7,200 XP (6/sec *60 * 20min). That assumes you do zero damage, don't top 3, don't play with friends, etc.

Glad we agree - battle pass levels up faster

Sorry but this is just not true. I just played for 6hrs straight and just barely reached BP4 whilst leveraging the bonuses. If you want these rewards (that you paid for), you're going to have to grind like a mad man. This definitely isn't a 100 hr thing unless you win every game you play perhaps.

You get 6XP/sec for surviving if you have the character bonus going, so that’s 1.3 hours / level if you do literally nothing in the match but live and never do a point of damage ever.

You only did half the work :/ You're assuming that XP / Hour is the same in both progression tracks, which it is not.
You get more XP / Hour in Battle Pass as long as you leverage the character XP bonuses.

The battle pass takes approximately ~100 hours if you use the bonuses and get a few kills here and there. Which is a little over 1 hour of in game time per day.

For the average player leveraging BP bonuses, leveling Battle Pass 1-100 is faster than Player Level 1-100 by ~25ish hours.

But another comment says

There aren't hidden new legendaries. The legendary crate drops a Guaranteed Legendary from the existing pool of content.

Unless I am missing something here?

It means that Legendaries in general = new geo/theme compared to base skin. Legendary Apex Pack drops 1+ legendaries from the common item pool (aka the same pool of standard Apex Packs).

Do you really think they would go all nuts and burn money away to make a bazillion content not even knowing how's the playerbase reception to battle passes? Or do you guys really do believe the content we got is the perfect and idealized version of a battle pass Respawn wanted to launch?

This right here is business, brother. The S1 BP is not perfect, but it's an effort and it shows. We already got a new legend, after a community feedback reworks on the big hitboxes, possible reworks on map parts, battle pass and minor fixes. All in a matter of weeks from launch.

The best we can do is show our love to Apex, and I'm sure Respawn is going to love us back. They already gave us an awesome game for absolutely free, even if as a symbolic purchase through some cos...

We have very high detail character and weapon models. There are long lead times to produce legendary content (new geo). It's definitely not easy or fast.

Only issue I have is that the legendary skins are base skin recolors and not new legendaries.

The legendary havoc IS a full legendary and then some. It's completely new geo/theme AND it is the first ever 3 stage evolving skin that has reactive VFX on kills.

Additionally, the Legendary Apex Pack will drop at least 1 legendary that is completely new geo/theme.

It was too fast to be sure. But I think it was the Havoc skin that is the final reward for the BP.

Showin' that sweet VFX green nostril flare!

THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT GAME AND THE BATTLEPASS. a few questions:

  1. Do levels reset and if so, do Apex packs start again at the old pacing?

  2. Patch notes?

  3. Any new skins or content added outside the battle pass besides octane?

  4. Was that the L-Star in the trailer?

  1. No, this is a separate track
  2. Tomorrow
  3. Not at this time
  4. It's the level 100 Havoc with it's reactive VFX

What are the "XP" tokens? Are rewards going to be added past level 100 on the base XP track because if XP tokens give XP I don't see them being very useful if I'm already 100?

These will boost your BP earn rate when playing with friends - and they stack as you get more of them

Yep

You'll be able to earn 5 more via the battle pass free track. And if you purchase the premium battle pass you can get another 5 standard, 1 epic and 1 legendary.

This is incorrect. The 18 trackers are in the free rewards track. The paid rewards have 100 other rewards (9 of which are trackers)

  1. Mirage Banner Frame
  2. Mirage S1 Wins [Thirleck Edit: Maybe he means Kills?] Tracker
  3. Wraith Banner Frame

  5. Lifeline S1 Kills tracker
  6. Bangalore S1 Kills

This still doesn't explain where Gibraltar's Tracker is. (Edit 3.5): It's been included to Reward 48... not sure what was there before.

18 is a Banner Frame Currently....

There's only a few cool ones, but look at it this way, it costs 950 apex coins and you can grind 1000 and comes with 5 ticks. I'm guessing the yellow loot tick is a guaranteed legendary. All in all it's a great deal, I don't think I'm going to feel ripped off.

For 950 Apex Coins, you get the following by BP level 100:

  • 1000 Apex Coins
  • Apex's first ever 3-stage Evolving Legendary Weapon Skin (Havoc)
  • Exclusive Epic PDW weapon skin
  • Legendary Apex Pack with Guaranteed 1+ Legendary
  • Epic Apex Pack with Guaranteed 1+ Epic
  • 5 standard Apex Packs
  • 3 Legend skins
  • 20 exclusive rare weapon skins
  • 9 exclusive banner frames
  • 9 exclusive intro quips
  • 9 exclusive seasonal stat trackers
  • Exclusive badges, Battle Pass boosts and more!

Then, from free rewards you also get:

  • Exclusive Legend Skin
  • 18 S1 Wild Frontier Stat Trackers
  • 5 Apex Packs

That feels like pretty fair value for 950 AC!

The level 100 Havoc skin is the first ever 3-stage evolving Legendary weapon skin.

As you get more kills (within the match), its eyes glow and its nostrils emit smoke, etc.
