Try to head into the quarantine settings of your anti-virus and release any DRG-related files that may have been isolated there. Sometimes it's not enough to just disable it.

There is also a hint on how to use the lazer pointer the first couple of times when you play a mission after having done the tutorial.

The original design of the new tutorial does leave some stuff out on purpose, since most people dont read all that text anyway or remember 80% of what they did in the tutorial anyway, so some stuff happens in regular missions after completing the tutorial. Making a tutorial that includes everything is easy enough, but it turns out that it has the opposite effect, and people learn less, the more you cram in.

Here are some examples of the context-dependent tutorial hints, e.g. the tutorial hint that explains Nitra

will trigger in the first couple of mission when the player mines Nitra for the first time (or runs out of ammo w/o enough Nitra), and Resupply Drops are explained in a hint
that triggers when the player has collected enough to call one. ...

Today, September 25th, we will live stream a playthrough of the new mission called On-Site Refining. And we'll have some devs in the chat for answering questions!

This happens at 1PM UTC+2 on our Twitch channel and it will be re-streamed to our Steam store page and YouTube channel as well. And on Tuesday, September 29th, we will live stream the other new mission, Escort Dut...

Hey there! DRG dev here. We are aware of the crashes and currently working hard to resolve them. Can you describe at which point the game crashes during the launch of the game?

I've seen the posts tagged with "Bug" on this sub are a mix of very superficial reports and joke posts.

The only reason I made a JIRA account is that the old.reddit sidebar reads:

BUG REPORTING

  • We are using Jira, as it makes it easier for us to read, browse and resolve bugs in there.
  • Access the bug board [JIRA link]

so I thought that was preferred method, but I don't want you to pay for two months' upkeep for my access only for me to report no bugs, and then pester you for account re-opening another four months down the road with another one-off bug.

So should I really post...

In your case, I would suggest posting it in the #bug-discussion channel on Discord. We read everything in there too!

Jira accounts are very costly, so as a standard we revoke access for accounts that haven't shown signs of activity for two months.

Send me a message on Discord and I'll make sure to add you back on the team!

Hello Miners,

This hotfix includes a large chunk of tweaks and bug fixes as well as a couple of popular community requests, one of which is an accessibility option that disables the new terminal UI animations for dwarves who are prone to motion sickness.

We have tweaked the Korlok Tyrant-Weed encounter to offer a more balanced and interesting challenge. The most important thing is the healing rate reduction that should help with many of the frustrations that players were encountering. We have also modified some of the timers for a better pacing and a more readable flow that encourages communication and cooperation. Good luck getting those shards!

--- PATCH NOTES ---

- Improved the sounds for the Korlok Tyrant-Weed

- Improved the Korlok Sprout placement restrictions

- Tweaked the Korlok Tyrant-Weed damage resistances and vulnerabilities

- Tweaked the Korlok Tyrant-Weed so it requires you to kill more sprouts ...

UPDATE 31: What Was Left Behind

Hello Miners!

It’s time for our first Post-Launch Update! And speaking of the launch - a hearty welcome to all the new miners! We hope you enjoy the game, and we want to give a big thank you to all the veteran miners who have been helping you learn the ins and outs of deep space mining since launch.

Update 31 is primarily focused on doing a bit of pick-up after launch - adding some things we had to cut for the 1.0 because of time constraints, as well as fixing a ton of minor and major bugs and crashes based on feedback from you guys. Update 32 will add new Mission Types, but more on that when our plans are more fleshed out.

Cheers,

The Ghost Ship Crew
