I just read the news post. Are the 2009 H'ween event rewards (Web Cloak and Eek the spider) returning!? Does this mean the game will see the re-release of older holiday items?

Edit: This year's holiday rewards:

  1. Miniquest: the Vampyric Regalia outfit (from miniquest)
  2. Death's spooky reward shop: Renegade Armour, Death's Death Mask and Web cloak (unsure if this is a new item)
  3. " An eight-legged creature", a "new friend" - A new spider pet is my guess. However, if the 2009 H'ween web cloak is being rereleased my guess is Eek the spider might also return.
  4. Treasure hunter: The Boolap Bag, Spooky Hare, and Spooky Ghost Masks. Looks very spooky, I Love it!
  5. New tradeable rare: Purple H'ween Mask

All in all, It's good to see the old, traditional holiday event style miniquests return. I can't wait for this year's H'ween event. Really looking forward to it!

Will Ironmen be able to buy that halloween mask from the GE?

Both of the 2009 rewards have returned.

Why do we continue to get shiny cloth cosmetics still? Are there any plans to fix this?

Also why are we unable to get actual black outfits still?

Could you please elaborate?

The group is aware of this. When we have further information to give, we will do so right away.

Hey there,

Next Friday, you'll get additional information. ૮꒰ ˶> ༝ <˶꒱ა

I think even if it took you 2-3 months to write up the article (working on it only when you absolutely had excess time) people would still find it interesting. It's "free content" in my opinion. People would see some wild ideas being thrown around, the popular ones would get a surge of support and Jagex would see which of the Game Jam ideas might be worth focusing on in the near/far off future.

I would love working on an article like this. We'll investigate our options.

You often talk about politeness/tone/sarcasm and other such things in the posts you make. Is there any need for the "as I already mentioned"? It's just an underhanded way of saying someone is ignorant/stupid.

You could have ended your sentence at "...Wilderness Flash Events." and it would have conveyed the exact same thing. Personally doesn't bother me what people say, but feels a bit hypocritical.

Oh, I didn't even know it could be interpreted in this way. And I have never had such intentions. Perhaps it stems from my "bad habit" of business writing. Or maybe I just can't sense such subtleties because English isn't my primary language. I apologise and promise to be more careful moving forward.

Y'know, I've seen you reply sarcastically to people too, and you're on the job as a community manager.

You also make us drag information out of you (No, not jagex, you. The reasoning behind retro dscim being released independently, for example.), then your responses, when you finally give the information, are often edged.

You'd think, as a community manager, that your tone and sarcasm are not necessary at all.

As a community manager and a human, I think it's still possible for people to respectfully disagree with each other.

It is possible to politely voice your opinion. I disagree with the form more than the content.

I think we would love for 'burnout breaks' to be something that gets more press

I think most people would rather hear 'we needed air but here's whats up this week' rather than 'this weeks update is here!' because it feels disingenuous when slow weeks are presented in the same format as heavy weeks

We will publish a post this week featuring Wilderness Flash Events, as I already mentioned.

Considering how long it's been since any of those creative people have actually been anywhere near the top of a creative wave, you'd think they'd all had enough R&R and might want to get back to, oh I don't know, actual work for the rest of the players out here who AREN'T part of FSW? You do remember there are non-FSW players here every day, right? Just a friendly reminder. SMH

Just a friendly reminder that your tone and sarcasm are not at all necessary.

Also I will say if game jam is causing a gap in updates because most mods were focused on it, and as a result limited testing was being done. Could you perhaps give us insight into what is being worked on?

It’s one thing if game jam doesn’t interfere with the game flow updates. But if this time around so many developers are wrapped up in gamejam that it affected the content being released, I think then it’s only fair to share with us what is being worked on. Here is what I know from combing Reddit and Twitter.

A karamja complete graphic refresh, the remainder of F2P being refreshed, a woodcutting rework, a quest which is being made so a developer can learn the code, and dungeoneering bosss tweaks. But mot everyone is going to be as diligent at trying to track down all the info. If game jam is going to affect the updates then you can’t/shouldn’t just say that, you gotta give people some proper meat to chew on. Even if it is just g...

When the article is ready. But this week.

Regarding the Game Jam overview, I believe it is a wonderful idea. However, I doubt we can do so soon (it can take 2-3 weeks to write an article. Yes, there are other projects we are working on). But after that, there comes a question. Will players still find it interesting?
