It's not as simple as "The LEC forces casters to" it's more like we get new viewers all the time who have never even heard of these teams, so we're encouraged to talk about their history for sure. They're also two fan favourites, so a lot of fans just want to hear a lot about them. It's never as simple as "The lec made me!! :(" Ultimately as casters we can say what we want so it's on us at the end of the day. People will always disagree on what is too much though, that just won't ever change

I think it's perfectly fine for you to not enjoy my casting. I also think it's fine if you think I overdo narratives, especially on Fnatic or G2 games when I'm told to put a larger focus on them. As they are historic orgs, during downtime it wouldn't surprise me if I often relied on their extensive history to fill time if there aren't many things to focus on in the moment. It's not my place to tell you what is too much or too little as casting is ultimately subjective, people have their favourites and their dislikes and what they see as too much to too little is up to you.

The only thing I wanted to challenge was bias. I have no affinity or favoritism towards either of these teams. In fact, it's much better for the league when they lose. I was really happy that MAD won back to back splits, I care about the success of the LEC as a whole and the more competitive teams we have, the better! As mentioned in another comment, I'm afraid this is it for this split. There are a bunch of reasons as to why, and while we would've loved to have done one for every playoff team it's just not feasible at the moment.

I'm afraid this will be the only one for this split. For many reasons that I can't really get into we could only do one, hopefully in the future we can go bigger and better!

None of it is sped up. I would say that it will always sound cleaner from in-house recording because each line is recorded separately to have the most perfect take ever, but that shot where the camera pans around my head is a single live take, I can do it IRL for sure

Aye, most of them. Drakos and I share a doc where we write a bunch of ideas in. We usually use those ideas to write bars for ourselves and then we come together and modify them to our style. The CLG line was all him though, I edited the flow a little bit but he deserves all the credit for that insane burn.

haha that's very kind, but I actually took a lot of inspiration from him. His final verses from Godzilla were what I used as a framework for my fast part. I hope I did the legend proud.

I don't normally comment on these threads, but this is selective hearing at it's worst. I spent a lot of the game highlighting everything that Jankos did extremely well. Covering bot lane at level 3 to fix the wave, tracking inspired throughout the map. We can acknowledge and praise inspired without making it about Jankos, which is what we did, while also praising him for an excellent game.

I'm really open to feedback but I think this reddit narrative that Jankos is getting ignored and 'scapegoated' by casters is going too far. Jankos had an excellent game and we did a lot to point that out this game too.

Live, observers are only at most 5 seconds ahead. When the games are online, they can go to about 10 minutes ahead but they normally spectate only a little ahead too.
