^ This is correct. They auto-open and we've made a note to include this in the blog for any events that continue this in the future. (OP already discovered this, just late replying so the thread is flaired and more folks can see as well.)
I would appreciate it greatly. I definitely posted with some harsh language; to which I apologize. This has been going on for weeks / dealing with an upset 12year old who lost his account isn’t fun. I’ve tried being polite / figured I’d give shock and awe a try. Appreciate your responses. Sorry if I made the community more toxic. In game, I’m actually not one of the toxic voice com people / play to have fun with my kids. Apex is a great game that they love to play.

Kinda ironic that the Final Fantasy event doesn't work on the console with Final Fantasy exclusivity.
It's good on PS4, but I definitely thought the same thing when I saw the issue pop.
Honest question: How do y'all release an event but then fail to have the event update be sent out on time on literally every single platform Apex is on? Better yet, why in the world is pre-loading not a thing for y'all's updates? I mean, I've seen some people say they got to pre-load the event but only some people? Not ya know, everyone getting to pre-load?
Can't speak into pre-loading, but updates are multi-faceted from our side, third-party sides, and the platforms themselves. No two updates are alike. The update went out to all platforms at once, and in this instance PS5 hit an issue. There's not a ton of detail I can provide outside of that, but it's not a great experience for anyone when things break. Fix is finalizing.
