Folks I genuinely do appreciate the time all of you have taken in responding to recent announcements around the NTC. We know there are some very strong opinions around it, and I want to remind you again we are reading these opinions.

Please continue to share your thoughts as constructively as possible. We've loosened up on our moderation a little because we know emotions are running high, but try and remain within our guidelines and be respectful of any differing opinions.

We would like to comment on the recently announced feature, which you undoubtedly know about - Naval Training Center (NTC).


First of all, we hear you and appreciate your feedback. Thank you for letting us know about your concerns, expectations and thank you for caring for the game.


While the Center is still under development, we're already working on a couple of changes based on your discussions across different platforms:

The combat buffs will become incremental and significantly smaller than announced originally. Instead of having big leap in ship stats, we will concentrate on smaller improvements which will still be nice to have on your favorite ship. But they will not feel mandatory to be competitive.


We will do our best to make it diverse and incorporate other types of rewards for using NTC in further Seasons. As many of you suggested, we...

That's nowhere indicated in any statement I made. I said we were watching this feedback as you can see from my response, I asked folks provide their concerns but remain constructive (so we don't have to moderate) and reminded them there was a stream tomorrow which can provide more details.

Folks this is a major change, no argument and we are very much keeping up with the initial sentiment on this. Please just a reminder this is not currently on test and let's try and keep all this feedback constructive. AA mechanics were adjusted in 0.8.5 with damage consistency in mind. At this point we are continuing to make smaller incremental adjustments as necessary to ensure squadrons are properly vulnerable to AA but still able to be effective. Be sure you are checking out the Dev Blogs coming out (sector AA design change today for instance) and we'll keep you updated to any further changes.

There will be a closed testing of changes to the Inertia Fuse for HE shells. Please note, that this is a test of a concept that will not necessarily be included into the game.

Armor plating of the central part for tier VI - VII cruisers is brought to the value of 25 mm. This will cause the ricochet of shells with a caliber up to 357 mm. If existing plating or armor belt is thicker than 25mm, it won't be changed;


Armor plating of central part for tiers VIII - IX cruisers is brought to the value of 27 mm. This will cause the ricochet of shells with a caliber up to 386 mm. But battleships will still be able to penetrate ships' bow and aft ends, because only the plating of the central part is changed. If the existing plating or armor belt was thicker, it won't be changed;

Hey MiraclesHappen, there are a plethora of community run Discords which appeal to every type of player (I'll let other make recommendations) but at this time we don't have an official World of Warships Discord. I'm very confident if you are looking for other players to join in discussion about the game you'll find them pretty quickly.

As a further update to this topic, please see the following information:

Thanks for bringing this issue up. We reviewed our Customer Support actions thoroughly and took all additional information into account. The conclusion is that Customer Support did the right thing in restoring the clan ownership, and here’s why:

Account integrity is one of our biggest priorities while providing support to our customers. If a player has a problem and approaches us in a reasonable time, we do our best to make sure his account is not compromised. In these instances, it does not matter why it was compromised originally. We can call it “hacking”, “theft”, “accidental sharing” or even “I gave my account to a friend and now he controls it without my permission”. The truth is, if we see the account owner has no control over their account, we make our best effort to restore it and roll back any undesired changes.

Counterplay is a an ongoing discussion and what the team has been focusing a lot of effort on. The AA change with 0.8.5, the AA DPS changes being tested right now, the sector redesign are all efforts to improve this and based on both data and everyone's feedback. Data is crucial but it has to be paired with sentiment to ensure we have a 360 view of how players feel.

We've acknowledged that while the changes in 0.8.5 worked, it's a bit more efficient than preferred and a small minor adjustment was made yesterday. Once we've seen how this performs, it will allow additional changes as necessary. This was a significant and major mechanic change which works consistently across all AA ships and now that is't complete we can make more minor incremental changes.

Please continue to share your experience as we need to understand sentiment from both sides.

Signal Flags can speed up your progress through some of the Directives and Combat Missions for Savage Battles, however they are not at all required to progress. If you have them, why not use them but if you don't it shouldn't prevent you from participating.

Hey Edgecase, unfortunately this event was originally slated for this previous weekend but was delayed due to a technical issue. We want to ensure we make two of these events available and this is the first available weekend to launch it after the fixes were initiated. Of course you should enjoy your holiday weekend but if you are in town hopefully you can participate.

Hey @LowSpeed_US I'm sorry to hear that the glare is causing you such discomfort. While turning off these options aren't currently available in the UI, I would recommend as others have mentioned you try the ModPack and see if that helps you.

Hey folks, we do understand there is a lot of feedback around today's change. We're still looking into additional changes as they are necessary, so please let us know how CVs feel (both playing and playing against).

If we need further adjustments based on the data we receive, it will happen and again bear in mind further AA changes are being tested and a sector AA design is in process.

Hey @panzerdeal61 0.8.2 was a few months back and the feedback we received around the Space Battles mode was pretty positive. We know there are a lot of you who are very interested in the historical aspects of the game and we've done our best to add fun layers such as these modes while having that historical option (such as the new Benham having a Rogue Wave and traditional camo).

We'll continue to provide that general experience through Random, Ranked, Clan Batlles, and our Co-op mode but there may be modes to break up the day to day for folks and provide a little fun. Were you able to try the mode?
