Folks this one has gone a little off the rails so we're going to close it. Please minimize personal insults to stay compliant with our forum guidelines.

The Ranked season certainly has some controversy around it and we do want feedback around but please keep it constructive.

That was confusing as I wrote it, but yes a soft cap on CVs does limit the impact on total aircraft.

Appreciate you providing your experience on this, and I hope I can clarify a few things you may be interested in.

Sector AA is actually in the process of being redesigned right now. It may take an update or two, but should allow more flexibility in it's use. We'll talk more about it in a future Dev Blog.

AA damage changes are currently being tested on PTS. They will present more consistent damage to a squadron and impact overall AA effectiveness.

CVs do not have endless planes and are vulnerable for a time after recalling them. They also pay a time penalty for doing this and it makes them less effective in many situations. Also our recent dev blog did point out we did put in a soft cap of CVs at Tier 10.

What tactics are you currently using to deal with CV attacks?

Mine is so low because @Kami keeps trying to tell me how to play better and I keep doing the opposite to see him make frustrated/disappointed faces. It's a compulsion I'm working on.

This is just a general announcement we are beginning testing on an upcoming ship. As you guys have seen we are more than willing to make adjustments based on balance or the type of ship in the game. Please don't assume too early whether it'll be premium, coal, steel, of FXP. Our goal right now is of course to review your feedback around the concept but to begin testing to ensure it's balanced where it needs to be.

Hope this was resolved for you. Unfortunately we can only control what happens on the servers and there is a lot that goes on between your PC and them. Local ISPs, Regional ISPs, CDNs, and a lot more can create disruption to your service (I've found the time of day impacts mine at home).

Do let us know if this is an ongoing issue as our support may be able to help.

Hey @sendit2me30 so if you see behavior which is being disruptive, as you have already done please submit a support ticket. While we do have a system in place for collisions, friendly fire, etc... if behavior is consistent and regularly impacted players our teams will take action against it.

To be very clear we do not advocate any type of TK damage but do recognize these things can happen and try and punish violators appropriately. For those who do it enough, they are required to play co-op until they reach a certain threshold.

Folks bear in mind while yes there is a focus on the end game (it's where many of you play), we of course aren't going to neglect the lower tiers. The Yuudachi, Hill, and many others you've seen us discussing on the Dev blog will be Tier 5 and 6 not to mention our next Ranked sprint will be in Tier 7. That earlier experience is important for newer players and for folks to take a break from Ranked, Clan Battles, etc... so we'll continue to add to this content.

What particular modes and events would you like to see in these mid tiers?

American battleship Ohio, Tier X

Ohio has a concept similar to that of Georgia: powerful and accurate secondaries allow her to fight at medium ranges, and Repair party with quick cooldown restores a large amount of HP, aiding ship survivability.

High-caliber guns are more accurate than those of classmates, making them an effective weapon despite the low number of barrels.

Hit points – 96300. Plating - 32 mm.

Main battery: 4x2 457 mm. Firing range - 21.6 km. Maximum HE shell damage – 6450. Chance to cause fire – 43%. Maximum AP shell damage - 15750. Reload time - 26.0 s. 180 degree turn time - 30.0 s. Maximum dispersion: 230 м. HE initial velocity - 800 m/s. AP initial velocity - 732 m/s. Sigma – 1.90.

Secondary Armament: 10x2 127.0 mm, range - 7.5 km. Maximum HE shell damage – 1800. Chance to cause fire – 9%. HE initial velocity - 808 m/s

AA defense: 40x1 20.0 mm, 8x2 76.2 mm...

The skills you utilize will heavily depend on which ship you are in (how the AA is setup). @Skuggsja actually gives a pretty good description of this abilities so based on that what are you most interested in trying?

Also do keep an eye out for upcoming changes to AA which may impact your selection of skills. Right now on PTS we are testing single target plane damage versus random damage to a squadron and there is an ongoing redesign to AA sectors.

Hey guys we do appreciate the feedback on this and understand this differ a bit from the legacy Directive based campaigns. I'm glad you feel the rewards were worthwhile and it's definitely some work to get there, but I hope overall you enjoyed it.

Where do you feel things are starting to grind with this campaigns?

Thanks for providing your experience on the GZ. We've been monitoring it's progress in the rework and adjustments are possible depending on how the overall data turns out. Also bear in mind AA changes are currently being tested on PTS and a sector AA redesign is in process.

You are kinda ruining my noble view of some poor low rank sailor scurrying close to the smokestack and dumping a bucket of fuel in while shielding his eyes....

Hey jags_domain, unfortunately these are two completely different clients which require different launchers so aren't really able to provide PTS in the Live game itself. We do know some of the challenges this can present like download size and keeping up with availability schedules, but this is a crucial part of testing process. if you can be a part of it we really do appreciate it.

As mentioned right now we're testing some new mechanics to go into a possible new game mode. If we plan to introduce these into anything else, we'll of course confirm that in a future dev blog or PTS update.

We're of course looking forward to seeing people utilize these in game and how they'll change people's tactics.

To be clear these are being designed for use in a mode and going into testing. There aren't further plans at this time.

Laserbeams? Ridiculous but we'll continue working on the Rail guns.

The Georiga does have a quite a few things in her favor like a decent heal, very high speed, and a decent stock reload on the main guns. This should be balanced out by factors like her fewer main guns and moderate AA but we are very interested to see how she performs for you guys.

There will be closed testing of new mechanics and consumables for a new possible game mode:

Fuel Smoke consumable. By injecting fuel into the smoke stack the ship is covered by the smoke screen, but for the less time than using Smoke Generator. This consumable allows the ship to move at full speed and still be in the smoke screen;

Smoke Shells consumable, which allows setting smoke screens at range by main caliber guns;

Semi-armor-piercing shells - a new type of shells, which has high damage and low armor penetration. Like armor-piercing shells, these new shells can't start the fire;

Near-shore concealment - ship ability, lowering her detection range near the shores. The ability is activated automatically if the ship is not moving or moves at low speed.

These are early prototypes and their names, parameters and properties may change during testing.

Please note that the inf...

As I've stated previously this change is not to address skill, this is about balance on something that is frequently raised by the community as a concern. The redesign of sector AA is something that could address the concerns surrounding additional skill/control over the use of AA.
