There was a bug specific to using a controller (on any platform) causing traversal emotes to be interrupted. It will be fixed in 10.40 (sorry, too late for 10.30).
Please note that you also must not sprint; if you have the option for
"Sprint by Default" on, you will need to use your input to disable sprinting or it will still cancel.

I found an interesting bug with a specific emote. While having the "Mech Team Leader" skin equipped in BR, the attached "Turbocharged" emote shows up in my StW wheel. However, selecting it from the wheel and attempting to use it does absolutely nothing at all. Can't describe the excitement and instant disappointment I felt when not triumphantly electro-punching the air! xD
I know it showing up at all may have been unintended, but if skins with attached emotes are something you're planning more of for BR it would be pretty neat to make them work in StW. u/Magyst
Thanks for reporting this, I'll make sure a bug gets added to handle that. Unfortunately, that emote only works with that Outfit, so since we don't have Outfits in StW yet, it doesn't work and shouldn't be in the emote wheel. Once you're able to equip Outfits in StW, the emote should in fact come with it.

Im glad emotes are finally getting added. The clip shows that he has Star Power and Boogie Down, but i hope we get more than 2 to play with at a time. I want as many as the tag wheel if the UI will support it.
The emote wheel will work the same way as it does in BR. So yes, you can have more than 2 at a time. :)

You will still be able to use Ride the Pony and Dance Moves. We aren't taking anything away.

Hopefully STW will get its own item shop with emotes, I think that's the most 'honest'.
You will be able to use any emotes you have, whether from the item shop, the battle pass, or the two founder emotes you already have.

Yes, you will be able to set which emotes are in the primary wheel from StW once they are added. You won't have to switch modes.

In the Item Shop under the Items tab, you can purchase Armory Slots for gold which you earn in-game. Armory Slots are used for schematics, heroes, defenders, and survivors. You can currently buy 100 under the Event Items and 10 under the Weekly Items for 25 gold each. Good luck!
