Hey now, you're cooking, so no roasting here.

Love Ori, and the sound design team that worked on it definitely gave you a ton of amazing source to work off of hahah.

Just want to start out by saying everytime you do one of these, you proactively address feedback we've given in the past. It's so cool to see and hear your evolution as a sound designer and editor each time you work with these.

The biggest things that stood out to me:

The portal - as Bard goes through it, you could look at adding a little more motion to help portray that travel. Maybe even just throwing what you have there through some filtering or tremolators to give it that feeling of movement.

The ultimate hit - this is feeling a tad heavy, and while I like the weight, I'd balance it with a little more of the tonality. Probably a personal preference though.

The passive - I definitely understand the limitations you have working with the music (<3 Gareth) directly from t...

Hades is such a banger of a game from the gameplay to the story and especially the audio work. Big fan!

Really like the clarity of all the elements you have here. Everything has a unique and distinct function, which is something I'd want to hear when doing SFX for a skin.

There were only a couple key moments that stuck out to me as needing additional clarity - the Q cast feels a little soft from what I would expect. The bounces could also use a little mid range support as to feel like they do a little more damage. The second cadence, or the gulp up sound as they bounce could be pushed back slightly in the mix.

The W has a good wind up sound for the motion. I think there could be a slight bit more of tonal build up before the attack hits so that it showcases a little more power. Don't forget to add a slightly different sound for when someone gets hit, vs when someone gets hit with the rooted proc!

E - feels great! Could use a little more tonality as i...

Taunt - Pretty good, really funny. Just make sure to check with VO for localization as we have to make sure 1,2,3 translates into other languages. Missing some foley of actual sit ups here, but I think you can borrow Base's.

Autos - the whoosh feels a bit too loud in the mix, I think it can be toned down just a bit. The hits are sounding great, but right punch needs a different sound from the left since it deals more damage.

Q - Stereo effect on the music could be tiny bit distracting for a non legendary skin but the value it's bringing is pretty immense. Just make sure that the volume isn't too loud since this spell is on a very short cooldown.

W - Sounding a bit close to Spirit Blossom thematically. Also On Hit center needs a more distinct hit impact sound, right now it sounds like it missed.

E - Bowling idea is geni...

Errr, threading my previous comment here because KDan is too fast.
Review - 3/31/22

Crunches: Liking the callouts. I feel like lore-wise though, Sett would be saying something along the lines of "68, 69, 70". Also, we may want to do a localization pass to hear these in other languages and see how it sounds.

In addition to that, the voice sounds like it's currently outside the space of Summoner's Rift. I think you can do a nice verb pass to help it mesh with the ambient sounds more.

Autos: These are feeling pretty awesome. Same note here about fitting in the space. Adding a little bit more of the boxing punch splash to give it that mid-range body will help it stick out. I think the whooshies (true actual technical term, can confirm) on the cast of the auto feel a little light. You might be able to take some of the bat swing layers to give it a little weight.

Q: There's a lot of good coverage in the audio spectrum here. Satisfied with that part. I...

Not gonna lie, I tried "reading" some of these in the sound designer's voice and it was a blast. Thanks for putting this together!

If at all, I imagine after the music videos, if there are videos planned.

But seriously, that would be amazing, and a super cool way to amplify the reach of the KDA music release.

Great question! I do know that the instrumental tracks have been released on our SoundCloud. That said, I don't believe there are plans to get the stems out at this time.

I lived in the VGM remix community for quite a bit of time, so I know how helpful those are to getting started, but honestly, I'm even more excited to see and hear what everyone plans on doing by their own creativeness! If ya'll haven't been checking out some of these remixes already, DEFINITELY check em out.

Idk how the audio team is supposed to get work done when this EP is all that's blasting through our speakers.
