Patch 0.7.2 continues our work to improve the user interface. One example is a revamp of the Quest Reward UI, which displays the rewards more clearly.
The variety of quest rewards will be improved at a later date.

Halves the number of targets Shield Throw ricochets to (rounded down). Cooldown is instantly refreshed when the shield returns to you.
In Patch 0.7.2 we are reworking Shield Throw and giving it a specialization tree!
While we enjoy the current implementation of Shield Throw, we would like to use the skill as an opportunity to introduce another mechanical niche into the game.
Along with other changes, Shield Throw is also receiving a new visual effect.
Shield Throw’s current functionality consists of aiming a projectile in a straight line, and fragments piercing nearby enemies each time the shield hits an enemy.

I’ll remove the Launcher tag from your thread. The Launcher software is exclusive to the standalone client, and in your post you mention Steam so you aren’t using this.

The reason I say that is there was a large download at the time, and I’m not sure whether the game is really being installed every time, or whether you mistook the large update for that.
Could I ask where the game is installed? e.g. C:\Games\Last Epoch
You say the instructions to link your Last Epoch and Steam accounts “didn’t work”. Could you please elaborate on that? It’s not enough information for us to help you.

It looks like you purchased the game just prior to us transitioning from alpha to beta, and there would have been a large game update available then.
Additionally, can I ask if you’re using Windows, Linux, or macOS?

Hi there, sorry to hear about the poor download speeds!
Unfortunately you being together and having different experiences makes it harder to troubleshoot. One thing I’d note is that disabling anti-viruses is often ineffectual and not typically recommended - they very often continue to have some modules running in the background. This is why we’d usually suggest marking programs as trusted applications.
It would mean starting again from scratch unfortunately, but one option which may help - and also help with subsequent updates - is Steam Acc...
