Behold, patch 0.4.1!

With the Helping Hands update, we added Bots to Blightbound: this allowed a lot of folks to play when they might not be able to otherwise. They did, however, have a couple of hiccups!



They might not be perfect, but the bots are doing their best; we also promise to keep working on them! So, this little hotfix addresses some of their immediate issues. You can find the detailed patch notes here![blightbound.com]

For those who are Blightbound...

The future is now. The Helping Hands update is here, and boy howdy does this change things!

For starters, we have bots. You might ask, what does this change? For starters, you can now queue up anytime, anywhere. Not a lot of people playing at 3 in the morning*? Don't worry, because the bots will help you out!

If you cannot find anyone after queuing for a bit, you'll have the option to play with bots. These helpful friends will fill in any gaps in your party, whether you're by yourself or with a friend. In these blightstricken times, a little help like this goes a long way. They'll even hop in if a non-host player disconnects!

There's more too! Parlez vous Anglais? Now you don't have to. Blightbound now functionally supports 9 new languages, with more on the way! ... Read more

In case you missed it, we have a new big patch: Wolfpack!


It did have a small host of things we could make better though, so we have another speedy update for the game. You can find the full notes below!

Gameplay
  • Fixed an issue where blocking with your shield as Warrior did not reduce damage taken as a client.
  • Fixed an issue where the teleport ability of Sightless Hags and Blood Magi was reduced by difficulty, causing them to continuously teleport on higher difficulties.

We got there! Update 0.3: Wolfpack is up and running, and we couldn't be happier. There's a lot to unpack and read here, so let's get started!

Patch notes: Wolfpack || Patch 0.3
New Features - A new area is ready to be explored by your heroes in the Underhold: The Creeping Blight. This area features a new boss, and new music.
- Sunwalker Kromn's personal story can now be completed.
- Desert Mouse's personal story can now be completed.
- Karrogh, the Fearless Wolf can now be found and rescued to join your band of heroes. (Note that his story can’t be completed yet: only his first three story beats are included.)
- Matriarch Wodania can now be found and rescued to join your band of heroes.

For those who are Blightbound...

As Wednesday inches closer, we found a new bug in the Wolfpack update that causes some pretty severe issues, including crashes. As such, there's a chance that the update gets delayed.

First off, it's no fun playing when there's a big issue like this in the game. We know this because of how the game has performed in previous updates. Desyncs? Khuliath refusing to die? Those are a big woof, size large. We've dealt with these issues, but we didn't find those before releases allowed.

This time, we have.

We want to make sure these updates are fun, not a moment where people are anxious about their loot and progress just vanishing.

The Ronnies are still hoping to have Wolfpack out tomorrow, and I personally am psyched to play when it comes out. Dungeon 2, the Creeping Blight, is a super cool dungeon, and both the new characters are a lot of fun. The new gear, completed stories, and changes to difficulty selection ... Read more

For those who are Blightbound...

As we continue work on the Wolfpack Patch, here's a quick hotfix for you folks. The big news is for folks with lower end GPUs and intel cards, we have a new low texture option and should have eliminated the majority of on-launch-crashes, respectively. Take a read!

Hotfix 0.2.3 patch notes 20 August 2020

New Features
  • Added option for Low texture quality.
  • Fixed that many Intel GPUs couldn't start the game because High texture quality uses too much texture memory (they run on Low now).

Gameplay
  • Fixed an issue where enemies would become and stay invulnerable after spawning, causing a softlock. If you still run into one of these, please fill out a report.
  • Fixed an issue where client players did not acquire any survivors at the end of a dungeon run, resulting in little to no Prosperity gain.

Hot off the presses, it's another patch! This time, we made some updates to Khuliath's fight (he shouldn't be so hard to kill due to invulnerability anymore), and we made a change to Monster Rings. Take a look down below!

Refuge
  • Small visual improvements to the Refuge.
Gameplay
    Khuliath was causing issues for some players, where his encounter didn’t progress the way it should. This caused him to get stuck behind collision, and players unable to continue to the next arena. We’ve cleaned up this fight, making sure the fight always progresses normally.
  • Fixed an issue where Khuliath did not jump to his next arena properly, causing a softlock in most cases.
  • Slightly adjusted collision in Khuliath's second arena (there was a segment where players could walk on air).

Patch 0.2 is out, which is super exciting for a whole list a reasons: this list of reasons, to be precise! Take a look at the patch notes below, grab a favourite beverage, and get settled; there's a lot of stuff to go through. It's so jam packed that we're pretty sure it might explode!

Khuliath Rising: Update 0.2 patch notes New Features
  • A new area is ready to be explored by your heroes in the Blood Ridge: Khuliath, the Humongore. This area features a new boss and new boss music.
  • Creen's personal story can now be completed.
  • Ezzouhn the Seeker can now be found and rescued to join your band of heroes.

Since the last patch notes were so popular...

Here's another small hotfix! It's a saucy one though: check out the details:
Stability
  • Fixed a desync issue that caused the connection to be lost after playing several matches with the same party. (There might be more desync bugs but we expect this to be a good improvement. Please let us know if you still get desyncs.) This is the beginning of their end.
  • Fixed an issue that in rare cases caused a player to be stuck in a loading screen forever
  • Fixed a crash on exit

Heroes
  • Fixed a grammar issue in Kromn's personal goal description
  • Kromn's personal goal now correctly displays that you have to collect 5 sunshards

Forging Ahead: Early Access Patch notes This patch brings everything up to date with a lot of the content that was tested behind closed beta doors. We also fixed some particularly brutal bugs.
  • Increased total of playable dungeons to 6 (from 3 in open beta).
  • Increased total of playable heroes to 9 (from 6 in open beta).
  • Kromm no longer shows up in Answering the Call (is now recruited in The Hemomancer).
  • Bigger Aetheri spark piles now give the appropriate number of sparks.
  • Heatwave distortion effects no longer have hard lines. Groovy.
  • Environmental bloodstains no longer randomly fade out.
  • Exiting Blightbound will no longer crash the game.

For those who are Blightbound...
With Blightbound having been released as an Early Access title (which was celebrated with gusto here in the studio!), we recognise the need for a Roadmap.

A Roadmap is an excellent way of doing the following:
  1. Informing the playerbase, and the community at large, about upcoming changes and current development plans.
  2. Keeping the developer, in this case Ronimo, accountable. Like having a gym buddy.
As a result, we made a Roadmap. Take a look!
