Today the French Navy is amongst one of the largest in the world, with over 180 vessels and 200 aircraft.

From May 19th (12:00 GMT) until May 24th (12:00 GMT), play 3 battles using French vehicles (rank III or higher, with an activity of not less than 70%) to receive the “Emblem of the Marine Nationale France” decal.

Complete the task in random battles, except for Enduring Confrontation missions and [Assault] mode. Track your progress in the hangar by clicking Nickname → Achievements → Holidays → French National Sailor Day.

Known bugs:

New vehicles in update may have inaccuracies in characteristics, armour and weaponry settings.


The armour model for new ground vehicles in update is “work in progress” for adjustment and improvement.


Some new aircraft lack c*ckpits.


Some ground vehicles lack a visible crew.


There may be a lack of localization for some equipment.


No sound played on some events.


Some aircraft may have inaccuracies in the Damage Model, missing fuel, oil and water leaks, armour materials

The recently proposed economy changes, according to calculations, were on average helpful to players as they reduced the repair costs, and the total amount of Research Points for most vehicles.

We wrote more about this in our answers to your questions on the 12th of May

and the overall picture is clearly visible in the table sheet with changes. We have been following the feedback closely and we see that whilst some players generally agree with us, we also see that there are players who feel that these changes are not helpful to them. For this reason, we have decided not to implement the economy changes from the

16th of May.

They are playing in squad. If you are playing with someone in squad, the vehicle with highest BR counts for MM. So if you take aircraft on BR 4.0, but your friend from squad is on 8.0, you will join 8.0 battle.

The CV 90 combat vehicles not only served (and are still in service) with the Swedish army, but were also actively exported abroad. Attacking spawn is not against game rules. It only means, that your team failed to protect it properly.

If you have good idea how to protect spawn without making such mechanic easy to abuse, Suggestion Section is waiting (same as whole multiplayer team vs team community in thousands of games).

The new location for naval battles called “Franz Josef Land” will become one of the northernmost locations in War Thunder. Here, players will witness the harsh lifeless expanses of plateau-like islands covered with basalt and permafrost glaciers. But even these uninhabitable islands have been mastered by man.
