Cross-progression is available to you, as well as cross-platform if you're on the same generation of hardware.

Unfortunately, cross-gen play is not something supported with Battlefield 2042. It's a different variant of the game, and as such it simply isn't possible.

Year 1 had indeed started when Season 1 was launched and consisted of four Seasons.

When Battlefield 2042 had launched, there was a time called pre-season and during that time we released Weekly Missions with rewards in the build-up towards the first Season.

Year 1 will come to a close at the end of Season 4, and after that, you can look forward to the recently revealed Season 5.

Hello, just to provide some clarity to this.

Season 4 is absolutely a part of Year 1. In terms of the future for Battlefield 2042, we have recently stated that we will continue to support the game in the form of Season 5 which takes place after the final season of Year 1.

References to Season 5 can be found here and ...

That was a bloody good run to be fair, Mike!

Don't speak down to yourself too, you don't need to be the best so long as you're aiding your team mates. But above all, at the end of the day - if you're having fun, that's what matters most.

It's a glass cannon type of vehicle, and with most of the hardware included in Season 3 follow the traits of high risk, high rewards.

So if you're out there taking out enemy vehicles, you're doing your job with the tank. It is a tank designed around defensive play, so when you're in Siege mode - make sure you've got people to back you up.

This type of thread serves no one and nothing, outside of encouraging more toxicity and division within the Battlefield community.

There are a lot of Battlefield communities out there, each having its own interests and views on all things Battlefield - but all of them are still valued no matter how big or small they may seem to you.

Comparing player counts and sizes of an internet forum is just low-hanging fruit to be toxic to one another, we need to be better than this and support our fellow players. You all play the same games, and likely have the same passions - remember that.

Hey Poker, can you give us a little bit of context as to why you feel it deserves a nerf? What isn't sitting right for you?

They were part of our Pre-Season buildup ahead of our Year 1 beginning with Season 1. Seasonal Battle Pass progression had taken over that.

Glad you're having fun with it!

Is there anything you would change with the Throwing Knives? What is one positive and negative about them in your opinion?

That icon is the logo for the current Season, Escalation. The number is your current Battle Pass tier.

Thanks for this, i've sent it through to the team to correct.

To provide further clarification on this, I was speaking to things as it stands at this moment in time. There may be a day in the future when previous Seasonal cosmetic content is made available through other routes.

However, at this moment in time, speaking to Seasons 1 or 2, the cosmetic rewards that were offered are currently unobtainable if you had not managed to unlock them during that Season.

And as a reminder; all gameplay-affecting items such as Weaponry, Vehicles, and Specialists will always be earnable for free within each Season and if you missed out on them during that specific Season - they will become obtainable through missions at a later time.

Hey there, not to be the bearer of bad news but you had paid for access to the Battle Pass, the contents of that Battle Pass was still to be unlocked and worked towards. Unfortunately when it comes to cosmetic rewards on offer within Season 1 or 2, you won't be able to obtain them.

You will however still be able to unlock the new Specialists, vehicles and weapons in the form of catchup quests, which are a series of missions that you can work towards to unlock whichever item you like.

Cosmetics are available during that particular season and are not able to be acquired thereafter.

This is often the standard approach to Battle Passes / Season Passes in games.

Comment

Hey there, the Year 1 pass consists of Seasons 1 to 4. If you had missed any of the seasons when purchasing the pass I believe it rebates you some currency to make up for that. Buying the pass now would grant you access to Season 3 and 4.

Hey there!

XP Boosters do indeed stack in the form of time, and only decrease when you are actively participating in a match.

Hey there!

Good question, and while I may be a little rusty on this knowledge I am of the opinion that it follows the same logic of BF4, which means it is 4x and up when glint is introduced.

To add onto idem, knifing folks doesn't allow you to wear that specific dog tag either. It's purely a stat collection that tells you how many times you've nabbed those tags!

There are particular unlock requirements to be able to wear them yourself!

Hello!

It'll be a tricky thing to combat but as with everything, the more you play and experiment with weapons the easier it'll become for you to find the weapon that fits your playstyle.

The M5A3 is a good all-rounder with suitable recoil for midrange combat scenarios, and if you use it in a burst/tap scenario you could also control it for slightly longer range kills.

As you use particular weapons, attachments open up for those weapons allowing you to finetune it to how you'd like to use things too.

Ultimately though, perseverance is what will win the day for you. If this is your first Battlefield it may take time.

But remember, getting kills and low deaths isn't the way to win in Battlefield. Team work makes the wins work, and providing your team with ammo, revives, health, spotting enemies, taking out enemy vehicles and aircraft and capturing objectives will ultimately move you up the scoreboard and provide wins far more reliably than just...
