Heya folks,

The Battle Pass marks the beginning of Season 2 cosmetic offerings in Fortnite Battle Royale.   The Season Store is retiring with the release of the Battle Pass, so get the Season 1 items (S1 Glider, Banner) while they’re still available!

The v1.11 update launches our Battle Pass which includes a ton of items for you to earn while playing Battle Royale.

What’s the Battle Pass? The TL;DR is … buy the Battle Pass to get cosmetic loot now. Then play to level up your Battle Pass, unlocking up to 65+ rewards by the end of the season. (It typically takes 75 to 150 hours of play to get everything.) Watch the video for more info!

Play Battle Royale. Level up. Unlock Epic loot. Buy the Battle Pass to get cosmetic loot now. Then earn or buy even more rewards.

Heya folks,

We’ve been teasing you about a new mode all week and the time has come. Starting right now you can hop into our first limited-time mode … 50v50.  Two teams battle it out in the most epic Battle Royale action yet. See for yourself in the action below.

But for how long? Great question!

The 50v50 playlist is available from Dec. 8 to through Dec. 17, so make sure to grab your friends and jump into the battle for a limited time.

How does it work?
Just load up Battle Royale and select the 50v50 playlist. You can jump into the mode solo or with up to three friends. Once the Battle Bus gets flying, you’ll see your squad on the map and communicate like a normal squad/duo match. You’ll also see green markers on the map and above the heads of the remaining 50-player team. The circle closes in. Last team standing wins.

Are there any special rules?
  • Friendly Fire Off (Bu...

Playing With Friends

Duos and Squads are best when you can play with friends! We realize that our existing social features make it hard to make and/or find friends. We are working on making it easier to play again with people you had a great game with, make new friends, and import your friends lists from other social networks.

Certain regions don’t have the Duos playlist (we hear you Oceania!) and we continue to monitor population per platform and region. We are working on a system that is going to allow us to schedule Duos during popular hours so we can offer the mode while maintaining a good experience.

Team Killing

We dropped the ball on addressing team killing. We take action based on player reports, but the system isn’t straightforward to use, and doesn’t let you know whether we took action or not. This needs improvement. Last week we started casting a wider net to catch current and past team killers and issued numerous warning...
