HUD

  • When you have the flag there is now an icon on the dashboard HUD element displaying that you have the flag along with your keybind to drop the flag below that icon

Interface

  • In Custom Game you can now launch duel_outpost_dunia_wip directly and other maps with long names (recent unreported change)
  • In Custom Game the map duel_gz_02 is now available
  • In Customize there is now a maximum amount of space that decal can take up, when this space is reached you will not be able to apply more decals of that size or larger
  • In Customize the zoom function with the mouse wheel is working again
  • In Customize the current decal selection indicator is no longer rendered when no editing tool is selected
  • Further work to migrate to Gameface

Since the last update some of the focus has been on a separate UI branch to transfer the UI backend from Coherent GT, to Coherent Gameface but some other things have also been done Interface

  • The simple decals are now working and have thumbnails
  • New decals have been added, search for button, valve, bubblegum, flower decal 6, ying, phantom, skull, blush, sweat, mouth 26, mouth 27, eye 47, tag 13, tag 14, tag 15, tag 16, tag 17
  • In Custom Game the map thumbnails are now updated for everyone in the lobby immediately
  • In Custom Game the map duel_gx_01 now has a thumbnail

Interface

  • In Custom Game, duel_outpost_dunia_wip (there’s an issue at the moment with the length of this map name, preventing it from being loaded) and duel_frontier_wip are now available - this is so that it’s easier for people to test the layout and item changes of the updated versions of these maps, however note that collision is not done for them, so at this stage you will come into contact with issues that will be fixed once the map receives a collision pass. If you wish to report them, for now I ask you to write them down/keep track of them and save that to later share them after the collision pass if they haven’t been fixed by then

Gameplay

  • In Clan Arena 1v1 the players now only have 1 life per round instead of 2 (players will still have 2 lives per round each when the player count on a team is higher than 1) - note that there is an issue at the moment with the score limit of Clan Arena never being reached meaning that matches will never end, with the exception of score limit 1, since the round data is being reset to 0 at the start of each round

  • There is now an effect on the flag carrier to make them stand out (effect currently shared by the Vanguard holder) -The flags now have textures and those textures are team colored -The dropped flag now has the correct flag model

  • The numbers in the Ally and Enemy score elements now have an outline
  • There is now an indicator below a player’s avatar when they have the Diabotical powerup, which scales and moves to the side if the player also has the flag so that 2 icons can show up in that situation - note that there is an issue with the icon not showing up inside the rectangle when someone else has it

  • When you have the console open while being in the HUD editor, your WASD and arrow keys no longer move the selected HUD element
  • In the HUD editor it is now possible to define certain Accent box corners to be round and others to be straight by changing the Corner Bitmask value (negative numbers are also accepted)
  • In the HUD editor it is now possible to set stroke width on the static icon elements
  • The default size of the static icons has been slightly increased - check if you need to adjust them if you have a custom HUD

Interface

  • The appearance of the Custom Game’s dropdowns and input boxes has been updated
  • The issue with the border of the map image in Custom Game has been fixed
  • The default team colors in Custom Game and More settings have changed, purple is now the default second team color, khaki has been added
  • Changing the video resolution now shows the warning message that you need to restart the game
  • Some more decals have been added in the Customize menu, medal decals (Diabotical\autodecals\Jacobs_Decals\Medal_Decals), sun and moon decals (Diabotical\autodecals\Jacobs_Decals\Random_Decals) - thumbnails will be added soon

  • In the Quickplay menu the Brawl mode has been changed from saying Trios to saying 5v5, the Instagib mode has been changed from Duos to 5v5
  • The Custom Game’s map image has been moved slightly to right to avoid a vertical line being visible when the mode dropdown is opened

Interface

  • The Play menu cards now have hover text on them explaining each mode
  • The Quickplay cards have been adjusted to show the images and animations in a less zoomed in state
  • Clicking the Custom Game menu now shows the lobby request messages and the menu fades in properly
  • In Custom Game, there is now a mode option called Ghost Hunt which includes the following map selection: ig_egg-plant, ig_stronghold, wo_furnace, wo_refinery, wo_wellspring, b_temple_quarry (the Instagib option in More settings can still be ticked to be used in combination with other modes) - this mode’s name will change soon
  • In Custom Game, unticking the Instagib checkbox now works correctly (you don’t need to restart the game anymore if you wish to launch a non-instagib mode after having launched an instagib mode previously in the session)

Interface

  • In the Custom Game menu there are now options for score limit 1 and 2 - at the moment if you wish to play Brawl I recommend selecting the score limit 1 option because at the moment the score limit is determining the number of rounds played. At the moment there isn’t an option to set a Brawl frag limit
  • If you play a Custom Game with the Instagib setting turned on for now your next matches will be forced Instagib regardless of the setting. To solve this you will have to restart the game in order to launch a regular Custom Game. This will be fixed soon

HUD

  • When you grab a Powerup its type and its current cooldown is now indicated in the Dashboard with some placeholder icons at the moment (when a Powerup is dropped and you pick it up, its cooldown will start from when it was left off)
  • The Press KEY To Respawn message has been changed to Press Attack to Respawn

  • There is no longer an ability slot in the Dashboard when you grab the Diabotical or the Haste (these powerups no longer have active abilities)

  • The PNCR’s shots now have different sounds depending on their charge level (how many consecutive shots have been hit before that shot is fired)

  • There is now an active ability indicator on the dashboard when you’ve grabbed a powerup that has an active ability

  • The Haste powerup now creates a red highlighting effect on the player carrying it, which is visible by others, and a red effect on the weapon which is visible in first person by the player with the powerup (previously was orange like the Diabotical’s effect)
