Hey everyone,

As of the 2.2 patch deployment to consoles yesterday morning (16th July), the previous Clash, Claymore, Deployable Shield and IQ exploits should now be fully resolved across all platforms.

This had been trialed on the Live Build for PC for 1 week and no further reports for PC were brought up since that 2.2 PC deployment.

We'll have a blog up soon in the next few days explaining into more detail about the issue behind these exploits and what was done to fix this as well, I'll post this as soon as it's gone live.

2.2 Patch notes can be rea... Read more

We don't have any updates to give for this thread at the moment, no.

This isn't a forever no, but just at the moment there's nothing further to share.

Hey everyone,

We will be deploying Patch 2.2 on PC today, July 9th at 10:00AM EST / 14:00 UTC

Downtime: 20 Minutes.

The Y4S2.2 patch will be primarily bugfixes aimed at cleaning up issues raised during the Test Server and during the early weeks of season release while we prepare for the next update and work on other major issues. Clash and deployable shields have previously been re-enabled on live servers across all platforms, but we are continuing to monitor the fix that went out.

Hey adyka2111.

The code you're getting usually means BattlEye is having issues loading, or is already running. Make sure to completely end task on all Rainbow Six Siege programs in Task Manager, then try launching again.

If that error code comes back, do the same but then verify your game files from either Steam or Uplay, wherever you have the game installed. Let me know if it carries on afterwards.

Hey everyone,

We have been testing another potential solution to the IQ, Clash and Deployable Shield exploits. With this update in place, we have not been able to reproduce these exploits internally. As such, we are pushing a patch today on PC only , Clash and Deployable Shields will remain disabled.

We are planning to deploy this same patch on consoles as soon as possible, the earliest deployment window available to us is Thursday, June 27th. Until then, IQ will be removed from the operator selection screen for consoles.

If you are able to reproduce the exploits following the patch deployment, please let us know through the ... Read more

However, I'm confused. If you TK me 4 times, and I forgive you..then you won't be accountable for bans or RFF? But If you were sanctioned after your 1st TK then how do you TK me 3 more times during your RFF sanction? Would this be via the unintentional explosives RFF action?
If you keep forgiving someone because you feel it was an accident, that player won't be banned and RFF will not be activated.

If you say the first TK was on purpose, the next time I attempt to TK you I will receive the damage.

Also your feedback is great, by the time Year 4 Season 2 update rolls around when we make further changes from the community feedback and data gathered I'll be able to give you more answers then.

Well all I can say is when this goes live later on today, give it a go and tell us how you feel afterwards.

Hey!

So the bans for TK'ing is still there in the background, if you inflict enough team damage you'll get the correct ban (30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 24 hours, 7 days) applied to your account if the validation has been confirmed as an intentional team kill. The only difference is, you still get the death once RFF has been confirmed.

If I TK you 4-5 times over the whole match, but you see they were all accidental and y... Read more

Hey everyone,

Just going to post here as well so anyone can reply and discuss on this thread.

RFF Announcement included again below;

Spoiler:  Show Hello Everyone!

Reverse Friendly Fire (RFF) is coming to the live servers tomorrow (this now being today). When a player abuses the friendly fire mechanic to grief their teammates, this system is activated. We believe that this first version will be a positive step forward in our fight against team killing while maintaining the same intensity and high stakes gameplay that is core to the Rainbow Six Siege experience.

The Y4S1 release of RFF is not our final version of the system. Future iterations and improvements will continue based off data and player feedback.

Community feedback so far has been invaluable and allowed us to make early iterations to the system. For example, RFF can now activate based on total friendly... Read more

Community feedback so far has been invaluable and allowed us to make early iterations to the system. For example, RFF can now activate based on total friendly damage. In these cases, there is no validation screen for the offending player’s teammates. We are also striving to make it clearer how operators and gadgets will react to this system. Hello ZarrDy

As previously mentioned the MMR rollback is only changing MMR where a cheater has been banned from that match, meaning all exchanging of MMR points has been made invalid.

Looking into your account, I can see you've lost MMR from rollbacks, but you've also gained some as well from losing a match against someone who has been banned for cheating, so you are getting the best of both worlds here.

Just to confirm, any MMR taken from your account will not be changed, we cannot manually edit this.
