I know this is not your fault. Thanks

Hey kid_moe96 -- do you happen to have your ticket number?

Hello everyone!

We’ll be starting to do community surveys. These are aimed to be short for you to fill out (1-5 minutes), but should give us a snapshot of how you are all doing following bigger updates on Siege.

Thanks in advance for any insights you might share!

https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthread.php/2248208-A-Huge-Concern-Ubi-Rainbow-Six-Security

Hi u/D4NW0LF — the way in which certain players' accounts were compromised were not due to a hack on our 2FA system.

It was certain people taking advantage of the human-nature of our customer support team who has since had their processes more tightly guarded and updated as a result. Thus, this was corrected on a case-by-case basis when discovered with the respective proper account owners.

Hey SuperMaxxii,

Just as a follow up to this, we did have a further look into this case and can definitely verify that the ban should be issued.

To avoid disclosing your personal info and your account's history, customer support will once again reply to your ticket with a bit of additional info.

We would like to get a better picture of the Rainbow Six community here on our subreddit!

We understand that this subreddit is a fountain of information, both as a place for feedback, but also as discussions between players as well. We'd appreciate your response to our survey here: https://ubisoft.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_034uacy21TfYusR

We are working to manage the perception of who is/is not currently a dev on the game. Players who see a dev charm + skin in game have certain expectations that this is an employee from Ubisoft and has ties to the current game team.

The dev charm and weapon skin is not used as a way to credit a past dev’s contributions to the game. This is more accurately represented in the game credits and personal portfolios of everyone who has worked here.

I also do want to touch on the cheaters issue. We do have something to share soon, and we want to make sure we’re communicating tangible tactics we have coming up! Thank you for all your patience.

Depending on how many times they exploited it, they can be banned for longer. The minimum is at 2 days. However, there are definitely players who got permabanned during this ban wave. Hope that helps :)

Sounds strange! So all footsteps are constantly missing? Would you happen to be able to record a video that showcases this issue? Would definitely help!

But if you really want that info, it was happening on each map I played on. My sound was completely backwards, the drone audio where it jumps and lands cut out when I got near the building we were supposed to go in, and while spectating teammates, I couldn't hear anything. Anything. And when the match was over, the mvp screen would just show a shot of the ground instead of the winning team.

Oh, that's definitely good info to have -- that it seems like after RFF was activated, it solved your issues. Strange though!

Thanks very much for the additional info as well!

Hey McCoy! Was wondering if I could get a bit more info on this? Do you recall what you had done leading up to the sound issues? Since it worked fine before?

Was it on particular maps? Any further details I can pass along to the team would be helpful! And sorry for the frustrations.

Hey Shadow -- the explosives that will change in Season 2 refers to the generic gadgets that result in an explosion rather than the unique operator gadgets. Sorry about the confusion!

There's sound bugs like this everywhere right now. It's awful for players (like me) who typically sound whore.

Hey Patrick! To clarify on this particular case, there is a glass on that window. The glass act just as a wall would (blocks sound) so if the barricade is destroyed while leaving the glass intact ( i.e. melee the bottom of it 3 times) the sound will not propagate until the glass is broken.

Thanks very much for the specificity of your feedback! And of course, all reports on sound issues in general from you all here :) It helps with repro-ing if any steps or specifics you remember are passed along in your reports!

So an update on this: the hitbox is intended. Our operators each get classified into several categories of hitboxes. Blitz's hitbox is smaller than that of Montagne/Fuze.

As some of you recall, since Operation Health, clothing is not counted as part of the hitbox for an operator.

From the video, what's being shot is Blitz's arm padding. The thicker padding coupled with his smaller actual body frame is what can be observed in the clip. Hope this helps clear things up a little!
