Quick Match (Casual) has a separate form of MMR that isn't affected by Ranked in any way. The Plat players you encountered more than likely have a Quick Match MMR close to yours.

Yeah, unfortunately, and I say that as someone who adores Jackal. I think he has the best sets of weapons in the game, and I almost never get a chance to play him in Ranked, which is disappointing, but I understand why he gets banned so much.

Pretty rarely on my end, but I've seen the Blitz and Cav bans more often this year because I'm stuck between high Silver/low Gold this season. At higher ranks, you'll get the occasional Cav ban, but Blitz is never seen because high Golds and Plats never play him. What's the one ban that you see sometimes that frustrates you the most?

FF sanctions are tricky for this exact reason. Unfortunately, there are individuals who get a kick out of purposely ruining other people's time in the game, and this exact example is something I've seen just this week.
