When the card was made part of the List for MKM its frame was changed to the retro frame and the parallax style doesn't work anymore.

That's... also very strange. Again, not sure what happened there, but I've pinged the right people and they're looking into it

Well, that's not supposed to happen. I'm not sure what's going wrong here (I think it's probably broken depth art), but we'll look into it. Thanks for the report!

Not Alchemy legal either

This is something we want too. Unfortunately, it's complicated. We're working on it, but we don't have a current ETA.

Currently, our whole card styles system is keyed off of the art the card uses. This seems like an odd choice now, but when we initially developed this system to support things like depth art, it made perfect sense. As we expanded the styles system to cover things like the first showcase styles in Throne of Eldraine, matching by art continued to make sense.

But, as time has gone on, problems have accumulated, and matching by art is no longer a good way for styles to work. The Omniscience example at the top of this thread is one, the KLR vs OTJ fastland styles is another, and there's a good reason that internally we call this "the Thalia problem".

So we agree it's an issue, and we want to change it. Unfortunately, this isn't a small tweak. The whole system is based on using the art, and it will take some major surgery to change. So I don'...

Just sign into the in-store event using the same Wizards account you use to play Arena. No need to explicitly link anything.

If either u/WotC_Jay or any other members of WotC see this. I am wondering if the pack collation for OTJ Alchemy will be the same as MKM Alchemy? With the Alchemy rare being a new slot in the pack? Also will this change the drop rates of Big Score or Special Guest cards in the Alchemy pack in any way?

As I think there was a possibility of the collation being changed after MKM Alchemy due to the Play Booster.

*Edit: Corrected that the Alchemy Rare in MKM was a totally new slot in a pack. Not replacing a common.

For the OTJ Alchemy draft the alchemy cards are simply added in as a new slot (not replacing anything), making for one additional card per pack

(On play-ins, you're right that Opens being all limited mean that we like to lean on constructed for play-ins, so it gets some time in the spotlight too.)

I want the worst possible mana bases and the most unplayable cards with only one or two usable cards per set.

Fallen Empires was my first expansion set. Thrulls and thallids will always have a special place in my heart.

If you do it on x=6 on 6 ping deserts, all is good, but if you do it on 3 deserts and 3 [[Spelunking]], or x=7 on 7 ping deserts it's lights out.

But wait there is more. If anything on board interacts with the stuff you are coping, good luck guessing the limits of things. X=7 on 7 Colossal Dreadmaw with a Soul Warden and a Heliod in play, game over.

Seriously, just play it safe and go for x=4. Otherwise good luck rolling the dice on what Arena can handle or not.

As you perform various game actions, the rules engine generates a wide variety of temporary objects to track different aspects of state - layered effects, potential mana you could generate, etc. With multiplicative effects, the counts of these can get quite high, forcing us to take down that game (lest that game take down others). This is something we've been spending a lot of time on tracking, understanding, and improving.

Hey, thanks for the report! We tweaked some settings on the back end, and we think that may have unblocked many/most players hitting this error. Please try to log in again when you can!

Nothing magical at 256; this wasn't about "We're storing deck position in a byte", this was "We need some kind of limit, and 250 should be enough for anything reasonable."

We are aware, and working to fix that as well. It will take a new client, so we can't fix it as quickly as the issue above, but it should be addressed soon

Comment

This doesn't appear to be a common issue, and is likely a problem with your copy of the game assets. Go to Options -> Report Bug -> Validate Bundles and it should identify & re-download the offending assets

Comment

There was a bug with these, but we deployed a back-end fix just recently. Restart your client (if you're still playing) and try again

Nope, not normal! This is a bug, and we're working to get a fix out as soon as we can

Comment

We're aware and actively working on the issue. No timeline to give yet, but we have a line on a solution.

Edit: This should now be fixed (you may need to restart your client, but it's all back-end; you won't see any download, etc.)
