It will be probably a few weeks before the devkit update is ready.
I am going to try and get it released as soon as I can, but I cannot give an accurate ETA at this time.

It's time to start getting something together that we can actually see. I have created some simple temporary meshes so let's get these multi-piece structures actually in the world and snapping!
Primarily we will find the progression of these videos on the develop branch of the gitlab repository.

We are happy to announce the conclusion of the Sept-Oct 2018 ARK Modding Contest. More than 60 mod projects were entered for this contest and the community has certainly come a long way since the last one. Mod authors were tasked with putting forth their best creations for a chance at the grand prize. The community also voted on their favorite mods to go alongside evaluations by Wildcard Staff. It was a pleasure to explore everyone's creations, and if you missed it you can find a collection of all the spotlights that Zen Rowe did for the contest over on our Twitch channel.
Without further ado, here are the winners of the Sept-Oct 2018 ARK Modding Contest!
1st Place - $15,000 Valguero
Our grand prize winner is Valguero, made by Nekatus and Buttman, which had a strong showing in both the technical evaluation and the popular vote. This is a beautiful map with a significant degree of polish and the sound effects a...

I recommend at least the following, you might be able to get by with less depending on what you are doing: 32GB RAM 8+ core processor Decent GPU: If you can play ARK with it, it's should be fine 500GB SSD specifically for the devkit: This might be a tough one for a laptop, but the devkit take over 100GB of space just on initial installation and it gets much bigger as you make mods. You can install the devkit on an HDD if the SSD is prohibitive, but be aware that it's going to mean vastly longer loading times for everything.
There was actually a mathematical error that I made during the design of the backend automation.
I got to bring some extra eyes on it today and have fixed it so that the scoring is now reflective of the intended weighting.
I am still getting some extra checks done to be safe, but I have added to the rankings the split for evaluations and vote scores.
There is also still the potential for further evaluations from other Wildcard employees over the next week, so scores could still continue to change for a bit.
Thank you for bringing attention to the issue.

Are you looking for a particular tutorial on how to mod something in ARK and haven't been able to find one yet?
The Modding Tutorial Bounty Board is a way for both experienced and new modders to influence the kinds of tutorials the community produces. Submit a bounty request, and if it's added to the bounty board, Wildcard will offer a cash incentive for other mod authors to create a tutorial for it.
The bounties will have a cash value assigned to them, based on expected difficulty, when added to the board. Mod authors can make and submit their tutorials to me in order to claim these bounties and their cash rewards.
Submitting bounties:
If a tutorial you desire is not present on the bounty board, scroll down to the next post to find the submission form. Look in the dropdown to see if a request for the subject is already present and if so, select it and submit the form. When submitting the form with an option from the list, it increases the dema...

Hello, Everyone!
Welcome to the first installment of Wildcard Workshop! Where I bring you tutorials, tips & tricks, and best practices for modding.
Today we’re going to be starting from the top. We will be installing the ARK Dev Kit and everything that you need to know about that. I will introduce you to all of the resources you have available to turn to when building your mods, and then we will set up our project space and the required files for a 'game mod' which we will use when creating our first mod in the next episode of Wildcard Workshop!
My primary responsibilities are focused on the modding community, yes.
