@trello Here's the link: Your board will need to be public. Paste a link into the first field, click "Load", wait, select your "done" list and labels you want to group by, click "Edit Text", tweak any text or ordering you want to and copy out of the right side!
@HarrisFoster
@JamesNyeVRGuy @trello Ah gotcha, Trello conveniently surfaces a json object for the entire board if it's public, so that's what I'm hitting with an ajax call.
@JamesNyeVRGuy @trello The url is if the tool winds up being useful for more people I'll move it to a tools section on our studio page instead π
@JamesNyeVRGuy @trello Awesome! Is your board public, and do you have a "completed" list?
Developers, if you...
I built an exporter for it that supports HTML, plain text, and Steam forum (for #gamedev) output formats.
Would this be useful to anyone else???
@JuFusroDAH This is amazing π clearly not a Nike knockoff
@dasgrischa @magequitgame @FrogsongStudios Both based off the same wc3 mod -- so yes very similar π
It's Chain Lightning... get it? π
@ditzygast Definitely. We are thinking of starting with ONLY this mode for ranked. And expanding it if the demand keeps up π
@thesmollestbirb Best of 5 is sounding better and better haha. We were thinking probably level 5 to start (takes about 3 hours of grinding to reach it). And the benefit of having the same spells is you wouldn't be able to blame RNG for losing π
@RabidM0ngoose Best of 5 would almost double the queue time I think, but 5 rounds was my initial thought too. I could see both ways being good though.
This would do the following: π allow us to fully prove out a ranking system π keep queue times short despite matching skill π gives players a way to play for just a few minutes π possible format that would work on mobile???
Idea for MageQuit ranked mode: π 1v1 only π both players start with the same 7 random spells π best of 3 rounds Any thoughts???
@troy_carlson LOL π
@JMarGameDesign It got to the point where I kept adding painfully detailed logging between each line of code that could possibly be troublesome. When I switched that line over to TryParse, I was able to see that our player from Quebec was failing the parse that was passing for me locally π£
@JakeIsDev In my first reply to the tweet, it would have defaulted to a different CultureInfo value. The input string remains the same, except it actually works in other regions now.
@XypherOrion Thanks dude π you're always seeing the positives for others and I appreciate you.
@mrhands31 πππ this makes me glad I know that the input value will always be formatted with a single period
