For the custom Dom mode, it was one I had already saved:

Starting flags auto captured could be the culprit. This will be fixed in an upcoming patch, within the next two weeks. Thanks again, I'll look into any other potential causes as well.

If it helps any, I was creating some custom Gunfight modes and trying some other things out as well, including: - Setting loadouts to be Point-Acquisition while having a set starting weapon and no pickups. (This made sprinting animations stuttery while having no ill effects in movement)

  • Setting loadouts to be "Normal" to test custom loadouts on the game mode. (This led to an initial stutter in the game at the start of each round before resuming as normal. Bots [in my case] all ran an MG-34 based class while I could switch and edit classes as per usual.)

Another thing that happened was that while the announcer stated that the game was working in teams, the gameplay and kill feed showed it was a free-for-all where all melee attacks were an instant kill.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply and the info. I'll look into tracking this down.

A few questions about the custom dom mode:

  • Did you load in using a custom mode recipe? Or just change rules and load in?
  • What rules did you change, and to what?

The sprint animations are already being looked into.

I'll also look into the bots in 'Normal' loadouts potentially still grabbing Random loadouts.

Any mode you can select while having a Gunfight map selected is supported. I have an idea of what might have gone wrong, but any info would help.

Can you give me any more details about what you did before loading in?

Was this a fresh boot of the game? Did you go into Dom on Stack after playing online?

I'm all about keeping things moving and I can take another look at seeing if there's anywhere else where we can shave some time off a round.

I tried no killcam rounds during the early iterations and it just didn't feel right. People always wanted to know how it ended, or everyone has a laugh at a funny killcam etc. It also gives time for both teams to get a small mental reset or a little extra time to discuss what went right or wrong.

We chopped down Gunfight killcam length to 2.5 seconds from the average 4 seconds. If we detect a double kill, we allow the 4 seconds to show both kills.

We shave a little extra time here and there where most people don't notice, like the end of round flow.

The end result is that rounds from countdown to countdown is about as close to 1 minute as possible, while showing relevant info, and allowing a small prematch time to call out the next play.

Fix was just investigated & submitted a few minutes ago. This is too late to make the patch coming out soon, but will make the next one.

It doesn't always tell me the loadout and this can be a severe handicap against good opponents. Every round after the first round is a 50/50 at best for showing the equipment during the 5s pre-round counter.

Allowing throwing knives to skip the equipment delay came up a few times. One of our producers is a throwing knife aficionado, and he kept giving sad eyes until I changed it.

Normal and hardcore stats are tracked differently. The gold mode icons indicate hard core. I'll ping the ui team to better indicate this

A fix is incoming for Mode of Destruction to count SnD and cyber plants and defuses. Currently it is only tracking in SnD if you defuse.
