I have stuck with weight lifting being laid up for months on end.
So the issue is, you are too lazy to replant crop? I don't really see it as a big deal, you have to replant crops in real life.

I had a long wait to get a gyro and never did get a 4x4. It took me ages to get the desert vulture and SMG too, it was like close to day 70 before I found an SMG and a desert vulture schematic. So I literally was using a green pistol for 90% of the game and horde night was tiresome clicking so much lol, but a challenge. They seem to target the block above the door now sometimes, and knocked it out and were somehow crawling through that spot and I couldn't place a block there because someone was always standing on it, so I had to retreat to my upstairs. One night I went through 2700 ammo and ran out before dawn so I was running around with my machete killing the 4 am crowd.
I didn't get my drone until very late too, day 60 or so. It's ok but got in my way one time in a ladder hole and I was blocked in! It was one of those houses with an underground
lab and a really long ladder hole to the surface. I already cleared it, but outside zeds got in and were pounding on the d...
Lol ok then. It's free food all you do is find a seed, plant it and wait. If that isn't good enough for you then go to Shamway or the Nexus, I'm sure there will be OP farm mods up in no time for people who prefer no challenge unlimited stew buffet.
Yeah there is no way you can exclusively use firearms IMO, there just isn't enough ammo.
I think it's way too early to make any judgements about farming right now. Play a full 70+ hour game then decide.
Yeah always have an exit plan. I actually bought all the parkour perks for once and did some crazy jump falls to escape one situation.
We didn't want it to be OP and make everyone feel like they needed INT to play the game, or feel excluded from Drones. If it gets much better it will feel like a must have. Right now it's ok to haul a little more loot around, but it gets in the way so it's kind of a trade off which is how it should be.
If I'm not mistaken ammo thins out as game stage progresses to simulate things being more picked over.
7. A couple on day 1, and a couple unfair ones in an attack volume. Nomad, feral sense, light armor agility build, 16 alive, no air drops. I wanted a challenge Bear den got me a couple times too.
I'm so happy to hear everyone is enjoying the new challenges of A20. I really enjoyed feral sense and the extra spawns downtown has. Random gen cities/towns have some areas that are sort of closed off so you can take a wrong turn and have to back out and be in serious trouble, where before it was so spread out you could always turn a corner and lose the pursuing zombies so having some dead ends was a great improvement.
Traveling at night on foot with feral sense on is pretty risky. Food management feels great to me and farming is a short bandaid to a constant problem. Eventually I got a lot of food, but I never was able to eat unlimited stews, I had to make whatever I could scrounge up, buy every can in every vending machine, kill every chicken, etc for at least the first 30 days. It feels good when you are constantly worried about honey/antibiotics/food. I never did get a surplus of big med kits or casts in my 70 some day game, and I had so many times I was beat up with 4+ ...
As with anything planned, stuff will need to get rebalanced to fit the current system once it's implemented.
Farming:
My experience with it was the best one ever. Prior to the change I would use zero perks and have a chest super stacked full of food by day 30-35. I could make pretty much unlimited stews and forget about food.
With the change I found myself looking at a frugal little farm that sometimes felt like I had something going on, then all my seeds would die and I only had a couple of plants growing. I often found myself rummaging the cupboards for something I could make. It felt like I was a starving trade school student with limited resources/food and you make whatever you can scrounge up. And to me, that felt right in an apocalypse.
Late game I could make maybe 3-4 tacos, or 5 stews once. I made some sham chowder here and there. You make whatever you can cook up. I like to save a dish until I have at least 3-4 of them then that is my food I take with me for the day or a few days until it is gone. That way I only use one slot for food when I'm adventuring. ...
Dude, it's so much better than A19. 1000's of new building shapes, vehicle mods, new primitive pipe guns, massive balancing changes, zombies spawn, biome difficulty and improved loot/game stage in harder biomes. Cities have more zombies. I could go on and on about how you can just get lost in random gen now. I could tell you how immersive it is, but that is something you will just experience for yourself. I could argue about all kinds of things, but at the end of the day the build just feels amazing in ways that release notes can't describe.
I haven't seen any yet, but there are generators you can turn on, then activate power at a fuse box that opens up some powered doors in POIs at the exit, which is nice so you don't have to back track through the entire level to get out or jump down etc.
Spikes have new models.
I'm not sure about XP, but I gained some levels building my base.
There might be a newstand POI, its probably a parts thing so it's random.
Uhhhh I live in a castle style house, have long hair and a beard, and axes and some viking collector stuff, and have a few rooms in a medieval / rustic deco style but that is the extent of it.
I've really been enjoying A20. I think builders will have a blast with all the new toys.
1.) New shape menu
2.) Stability shader shows in real time which is really nice.
3.) Loads of new shapes... LOADS.
4.) Wood is decent to build with.
5.) Upgrade path is simple and less frustrating, less pounding/time wasted upgrading to a million materials.
6.) Land claim seems very generous, I don't know if this has changed though.
7.) All shape menus are the same.
8.) Building with particle board is a huge win versus the transparent frames. You can see exactly what you are building now, like before getting a wedged incline block rotated the right way was tricky because you couldn't see very well.
Overall building is vastly improved. It's really nice not getting in the dev menu to get the blocks you want, and much easier to find/navigate IMO.
We will probably start streaming after we hit content lock and are getting closer to launch. It's going to be a minute yet. Imagine taking random gen out of programming (mostly) and doing art driven content rather than everything code, we need to fill a world with the new content so it's taking some time, but the results are fantastic. Plus we nuked 1000's of blocks and replaced them with the new shape menu. A ton of work though.
You summed up the reason we aren't doing any weird zombies that don't make a lot of sense. Less than .01% chance to see someone in a football uniform or cheerleading outfit seems like a pretty shallow argument. Now that the story board trailer is in the works I can say there were many weeks of pandemic lockdown and rioting, no sporting events or schools would be open so nobody would be wearing those outfits when things got out of control.
Yeah I myself had many fond memories. It was my idea and I hacked the first prototype ...

They ran out of toilet paper so people were buying old magazines and newspapers on ebay to wipe with.
No but semi destroyed taller buildings that are tall enough to block views and segue into Skyscrapers rather than a lone skyscraper next to 1 story buildings.
Newspaper changed to hurry harry's burger sack, problem solved. I was trying to tell a narrative when I made the newspapers in 2013 on the streets and newspapers weren't 1000% dead back then like now.
Which one, there are 3 other games in various stages of development
No. We already see that schools close in a pandemic so nobody would be suited up in foot ball gear, nor cheering in the weeks of rioting and pandemic shut down of 2034 before total apocalypse happen.
I saw some promising city tiles where the player couldn't see anything but buildings, it had vibes of the first walking dead downtown Atlanta feel, but it was a prototype. I can't promise it will be done but the intent is to put some skyscrapers in it.
I played a game a while back and really enjoyed it. Loot isn't done yet, but the full line up of primitive weapons was implemented so I got to start off with a pipe shotgun and proceed to double barrel and then a pump before I quit playing and it was great being able to specialize right away. I focused mainly on PVE and turned off hordes for the first time ever in a game, mainly because I wanted to try out the new build menu. The new build menu features every block shape in the game, so I was able to go crazy with creation and I had a lot of fun even though hordes were turned off. I did quests for money and the economy is harder than before so I was walking until day 21 or 28, I can't remember when I could finally spring for a motorcycle. Even though it was an early build I had a great time with it. RWG is amazing now, especially cities they are well put together with stop signs, cross walks, sewers, and a lot more.
Nobody cares about that except people who have 500...

I think with any rifle you want to get a scope asap but I think they are ok, I just found one so I'll try it out in my game.
There is a pipe rifle, lever action and the sniper rifle you all have for an alpha or two.
No it's not GPS, but their hearing and sight are much better so you have to be more careful. If you don't have enough stamina or decent guns and you have jog or run on you are dead. Like I was clubbing away at them but ran out of stamina with too many on me and I got rekt a few times early game.
We'll have to contact them and force them to change the name since they probably don't have a copyright ") But seriously no, who cares. Purely coincidental.
It's inspired from an old winchester lever action.
Those models have been redone and replaced.
