Thats only way I knew it was halo for sure. It was happening to insider program people only at first but now it’s spread. 343 has acknowledged they know it’s happening! I don’t think you can get any more confirmation then that

The issue occurs on both the homepage and the forums, so I can't sign in to anything related to Halo Waypoint.

interestingggggg. please do keep me posted! in full disclosure, if it’s in our end, i likely can’t her any traction until next year at this point.

oh does it work incognito at all??

hmm weird. i’m leaning towards your ISP or something blocking it for some reason. would be curious if you can try a different wifi network at a friend’s or something.

i haven’t seen any other reports so i’ll keep thinking.

btw is this the homepage or the forums? or are you able to log into the other at least?

Hi, sorry for the late response.
Yes I have tried microsoft edge (I normally use Chrome) and tried to use my phone browser and mobile data. Nothing I've tried seems to work. I have tried researching the problem and the only conclusion I can come to is that there is some sort of issue with my account, but I'm not sure what to do about it.

when exactly do you run into this issue? is it after signing in with your account info?

if so, can you try signing in with a different Xbox account? you can just go make a new throwaway account to test.

I'm the creator of the video so I thought I would add a little bit more to it!

It turns out that the memory issues occur even just playing through one mission! I think it has to deal with more enemies loading in and not deloading properly, eventually overloading the game. Some people didn't have this issue, so it might be hardware dependent, but playing on the previous patches, my memory usage would stay stable at around 58% while recording throughout gameplay, while on the current patch it would continue to rise until the game will crash.

There also exists a progression bug where completing two missions in a row on Halo CE will force you back into main menu, but if the memory usage is high enough, the game will crash instead.

It is also notable that trying to close the game with task manager because of the memory issues will take an extra amount of time for an odd reason to try to clear it, with it being a lot longer than it should ...

if you haven't already submitted a Halo Support ticket with your findings, can you do me a favor and do so? it'd help them as they dig into it. :)
