This isn’t a new problem, and has happened to a few players. IIRC there was a dad playing with his son in a YT video I watched, but the most egregious one I’ve seen here is being banned after playing Bot Bootcamp.
u/misplacedyank 343 was said to be looking into this a few months ago, any idea on when there will be a resolution? My friend is exactly like this, he’s terrible at PC games since he’s never had a computer before so I don’t want him to be banned.
best i can do is pass the thread along for awareness and visibility to the proper teams.
i won't necessarily have any updates or info to share beyond that.

there is currently an active ongoing outage for Azure FD. someone apparently is hitting an endpoint with a large amount of traffic so MS is likely mitigating a DDoS at the moment...will be interesting to see the RCA.

It's not super common, but also not unheard of. I don't see anything on Halo support yet about this issue, maybe u/misplacedyank can help?

I truly do mean this in good faith. But why isnt the winter update just called season 3? It has it's own mini battle pass and updates anyway.
i honestly don't know that i have a great answer for that.
those decisions are by people that are not my team and then we just pass that info on to you guys.
like if you stop to think about it, our seasons have historically had 100 tier battle passes so i'm guessing that's part of it. since it's not a full BP, it's not really a full season.
we're just messengers. i'm sure someone, somewhere knows. but i am not that someone. :)
