She's been around for nearly 1800 of my 2000+ play hrs.

Wow, impressive!

I feel like it's a hidden gem... It's not the largest map, but it's about Island-Sized and it has a massive Aberration style cave that just keeps getting deeper. As silly as it is, I feel like the icon for the map (which is just a dinosaur) makes people skip over it when looking through a map list. The sky, weather, and multitude of flat plateaus (perfect for anything castle-themed), makes the map shine. I also think the wyvern area is one of the best I've ever seen.

I've been meaning to check this one out!

There's increased effort to work through these tickets. Rest assured!

Customer Service has had an influx of tickets due to the deployment last week. I apologize, there's no E.T.A. at the moment but we're hoping to get a general status update out for those who are affected. At the moment they are still working through them. My apologies for the inconveniences!

You are correct. Though im not with the majority's opinion as to why i find those exploits so for a better understanding of why meshers do it, you'll find a different awnser than mine, but here we go. Throughout arks history, specially in the begging, we didn't have a good knowledge of the whole game. Basically on pvp specially, who knows more is king. Knowledge will always put you ontop on any situation, after that the only thing that will improve your game will be skills. Im usually very strict about meshing, i don't abuse it unless theres a reason for it, ONLY in legacy. Let me tell you why. Legacy doesn't have support anymore, meshing and exploiting is a common thing there as I've said before, however if you are not one to also know it you'll likely be abused by other people who do it. My reasoning for FINDING exploits was always knowledge. Almost always i wont be using those bugs, i prefer legit raids. But as to why is knowledge. Knowledge is knowledge regardless. That isnt o...

Thanks for your input. I did find another perspective that I haven't really seen come across before. The mesh stashes (as a way to protect valuables) is one I hadn't thought of.

The only way to counter meshing right now is to stop meshing. Big brother IS watching. Meanwhile, we are working on in-house solutions to reduce it from happening in the first place.

Woah, those came out great! More please :)

Thanks for your perspective. It's always good to see the perspective of someone on the "other side of the fence". You are right when you talk about Unreal rendering and two-sided materials. It's expensive. In regards to copyright claiming, to me, it feels too close to censorship and something I think we'd only do in extreme circumstances.

The bigger question I have (and it's a genuine one) is why do you mesh? I've heard the "I mesh because I have to prevent meshers", but at some point, that cant be the case. Maybe it's the thrill of finding the exploit or breaking the game? I've always been curious as someone who has played ARK considerably. Undermeshing wasn't a huge thing back when I was playing.

There is understandably more we can do, but this is all I would expect at the moment. We'll keep the dialogue going on ways to prevent this from happening in the future, and more tools to assist in the event that it does.

As a community we do expect you to make mistakes, but owning up to them and coming up with new solutions to fix them is at the end of the day what really matters.

Thanks again WC for restoring our faith in you. The deletion and downtime it brings will sting, but knowing that ultimately if this should happen again, there is now a solution, makes it worth it.

Glad we were able to come up with a solution for this one!
