Iron Gate is not asking you for a phone number. The Discord server you are attempting to join requires a Discord account with a verified phone number on file. Discord is asking you for your phone number. You are free to ask your questions to the community here on Steam all the same as you would be able to on Discord. Your choice of social engagement is up to you and not forced.

Just to clarify things: We won't delete discussions just because of the language that got used. You are free to communicate in every language on our forums.

The majority (or almost all) of the threads are in English because almost everyone understands it. That is also the reason all official Iron Gate posts are in English.
With this Iron Gate can ensure that almost everyone understands the post or announcement.

However you can't hide English threads or posts on Steam. That's not possible.
Further, we do not have language specific forums. Like said above, you are free to communicate in every language.
