These are cosmetic and nothing to do with your crashing problem, everyone gets them.

I'm not clear - is it still crashing after your clean reinstall?

If not I can only assume there was an old or bad entry in your user_empire_designs.txt file.

Well, we'd know by now if it had such a bad bug that it was doing this on everyone's machines all the time! If it is a game bug it seems to be only triggered on your machine in some way.

Definitely no mods in use here, is that right?

After one of these crashes can you run the game right away and load the latest save file and carry on? Or do you need to reboot, or wait a while before the game will run again? Does that save crash in the same place or elsewhere?

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/logs/ folder, attach here system.log

No solid clues in there, but we see some LiveKernelEvents in that dxdiag. These happen when the machine is forced down or reboots itself. Are you seeing those? If so are they related to this game or something else?

Exit the Steam all and run stellaris.exe directly from File Explorer. Do you see any Windows error when it fails then?

So the crash is while playing, not on game start?

Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 10 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install

gael962 said: i cant measure temperature for too long on 3.1 and above because these versions crash my game,
How long does the game run under 3.1 before crashing? At all?

Let's test DirectX. In your Steam Library right-click on this game and choose Properties. Click on Set Launch Options, and paste this in there:
-opengl

That will be slower, but if it makes the game more stable or at least prevents the hardware crashing, that will be informative!

I've moved you into your own thread, as I requested before.

You have a bunch of mods in user there. If they are enabled when you. get these crashes, we can't help here I'm afraid! You'd need to contact the mod authors, and/or post in the User Mods forum.

Good luck!

If however you get these crashes in a galaxy that's never had any mods used in it, please let us know!

This appears to be GPU-related, which we will investigate, but I recommend seeing if anything here can help in the mean time: General Crash Solutions
