In March, 80 years ago, production of the Bf 109 F-2 began. The F-2 was equipped with the MG 151 15 mm cannon before the harder hitting 20 mm version became available. A total of 1,332 were built with some receiving air intake sand filters in the field for tropical operations.

In March 1943, 78 years ago, the Piaggio P.108B Serie I made its first flight. The P108B saw bombing action during the North African Campaign where it failed to do much damage, and many were lost. Near the end of the war, it was mainly used as a troop transport aircraft.

@NoelJohansson3 It's a real life event our ancestors used to celebrate back in 2019. You'd go outside with actual people (outside still existed), hang at a "pub" (some extinct recreation area for adults selling fermented liquid). Yeah. 😑
