The 72-K GAZ-MM first entered production roughly 81 years ago. Being in essence a modified licence-built version of the Ford Model AA truck with a 25mm AA gun fitted to it, the GAZ-MM helped provide cover for Soviet ground troops in the early days of WW2.
85 years ago, the DB-3F first took to the skies. Later produced under the designation IL-4, the aircraft featured numerous improvements over its base model and was extensively used in WW2 in the roles of a medium, strategic and torpedo bomber.

In July 1944, the Ostwind made its first appearance with the completion of its prototype. However, its late introduction to the war and limited production meant that it was unable to replace the Wirbelwind, as initially planned. Instead, both fought alongside each other.

In 1943, 78 years ago, the AEC Mk.II first appeared. It was a further upgrade of the AEC Armoured Car with more horsepower and a three-man 6-pounder equipped turret. Fun fact: AEC, the Associated Equipment Co., is the same company that makes London's famous double-decker buses.
