Dear players,

We are proud to announce that starting from today, October 15th to Sunday, October 18th it will be possible to try out Warface: Breakout for free and log into the game without having to purchase the game first, as a part of the Free Weekend offer.

Players will be still required to have Xbox Live Gold to play online, as it is necessary in any other multiplayer game on Xbox.

Moreover, those who enjoyed the game during the Free Weekend can purchase the game at a 50% discount, which will last until October, 26th, i.e. one extra week.

See you on the battlefield!

Hello, I understand that the proximity with the devs is something people may crave but we aren't going to force our devs to get into the crowd as it's not their job. If they want to, they totally can, but it can be difficult to face the negativity you may encounter around the game when you work hard on it since months so I don't blame them for not coming around.
That said, our Q&A and dev updates are pieces of content written directly by our dev team in collaboration with the community team. We tried to increase the number of articles of this type to offer you more transparency and create a closer relationship between you and the production team (even if the community team is in between).

Dear players,

Along with the “Underground” update we have brought a range of new mechanics and features, yet none of them have prompted so many questions as Seasonal Leaderboard. In this article, we would like to cover the main points of how the whole system works, as well as answer some particular questions of yours in the end.

Score

Score is the main parameter according to which the placement in the leaderboard is determined. The score is influenced by the following three factors:

  • Rounds Won. Try to win as many rounds as possible every game, since your score depends on how many rounds your team wins every match;
  • Rank Bonus. A special multiplier that is counted in a linear progression, from 0% at Rank 30 to 100% at Rank 1. Rank Bonus is not retroactive. If your Rank changes, the Score for old matches is not recalculated. Your current Rank Bonus is applied only to the new matches you participate in.
  • Matches Played. The numbe...

Dear players,

The new season, Underground, has brought quite a bunch of new content, and hence - new questions about it. We’ll try to answer some of them in today’s Developer’s Update.

Q: You have added some country flags as personal banners, will you add more in the future?

A: Indeed! Just let us know which flags you would like to see in the game, and the most “community-supported” flags will find their way into the game!

Q: Why can't I find some of the skins in the crates?

A: If you browse the inventory and see locked skins that you cannot find neither in the seasonal, nor in the progression boxes, it is likely that such skins are only available via the in-game shop.

Q: Why isn't the weapon progression retroactive?

A: The weapon progression system is a new feature brought with the start of “Underground”. Just like any of the new challenges we introduce, they count for ...

I felt there was enough difference between Breakout and CoD that they could coexist. I had a lot of hope the game would progress in the CSGO direction (which I still feel is the right direction) and hit registration would be addressed. I understand that there’s no magic drop down menu in the engine programming to make this a quick fix and will most likely take time (if not a complete overhaul) to fully address.

After a month or so I stopped playing due to just my personal frustrations with the game. I recently played a few matches and while I can say the game is markedly better than when it released, there’s still a long way to go. My worry is the players will not stick around to see the improvements.

As I said at the start, way back in my first post in this community, the game has a solid framework that just needs...

Hello, thank you for your constructive feedback, the game is indeed in a better state and still needs more fixes to be flawless, our team is doing its best to bring you these updates as soon as we can. Regarding the cosmetics, they are created by a different team so releasing new ones doesn't affect our development process. We hope more marketing, a free weekend and some sales will help in bringing you more people to play against.

Dear players,

After today's leaderboard update at 7:00 AM PDT (16:00 CEST), it will display players with 10+ ranked games played instead of 25+.

We are also preparing an article to clarify this leaderboard so don't hesitate to ask us anything about it in reply.
