so whats happening is when I start the game audio is fine no issues music plays I hear all the mouse clicks. when I start a game saved or a new one. just prior to launch the audio starts cutting in and out. if i Leave the main game screen and go into a sub menu screen the audio\music returns with no issues. when I go back into game play\resume sound starts cutting out again.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game with no change.

Additional findings found that when a game is launched new or saved, the game starts switching rapidly between my two audio devices (standard speakers and digital audio device). this only happens for Anno 1800 not any other game I play. when I quit Anno my sound device returns to normal\default.

Hey there @nayrb01 ,

Thank you for reaching out to us and reporting this!

May we know what the 'digital audio device' is? Do you have any other audio equipment plugged in?

And do you have your desired output device set as your Default in Windows Sound Settings?

Hey @nayrb01,

Thank you for your update, sorry to hear that this started 2 weeks ago.

Can I check whether you encounter this if you try an alternative audio device?

Many thanks

Hey @nayrb01,

Thank you for your update, sorry to hear that it happens regardless the device.

Can I check that in your sound settings under advanced settings you don't have 'Allow application to take exclusive control of this device' selected?

Many thanks

Thanks for the report, Tenno! We will investigate on our end, but the next time this happens can you please grab your game logs asap and send them to us?

You can select 'send error logs' tap your mail app icon, and mail them directly to [email protected] in this case. Just include as short sentence so we know it's you & remember which issue this is!
