[2024] Retractable rope and ladder

A stack of plywood building blocks can be set to a ladder shape, placed quickly, and picked up after you. That’s what I do, especially in multiplayer scenarios so everyone doesn’t have to make their own nerd pole.

Project zomboid has bed sheet rope, thanks for the feedback

There are also ropes you can climb in some POIs. Unfortunately they aren’t craftable.
