I’ve just bought/downloaded AC:Valhalla. It’s completely unplayable. It stops, lags and stutters like insane. I can’t even get past the opening scene. It takes two minutes just for young Eivor to walk through the door into the hall where there is a feast. The game also takes about 5-6 minutes just to start up everytime I launch it from the desktop, or from Ubisoft Connect. My graphic card is good, Nvidia GeForce ... something or another (my computer guy keeps my PC up to date). I can run any and every other game on high settings, even ultra high settings, no problem. All games. I also have other games installed on Ubisoft Connect, such as AC: Origins, which runs a 100 % smoothly at the highest settings. It’s not a graphic card or computer capacity problem. My computer is *not* the problem. It’s very much up-to-date.

When I enter the options menu in AC: Valhalla it shows the average framerate per second is a pathetic, measly 4-5 !!! It’s no wonder I can’t make progress. This is the case whichever graphic setting I’m using in the game.

What is going on ? How do I fix this ? How and where do I identify the problem ? I’ve paid some 50 £ for this, a game that was released two years ago, and had all the time in the world to be updated and have bugs, glitches and performance issues fixed.

Hi @krikkert7 I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing low fps in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Could you take a look at the PC troubleshooting article and run through all the steps listed then try again. The support article contains some of the most common fixes for crashes, freezing, FPS drops and more.

Please confirm if this resolves the issue.
