[2022] Game is randomly crashing

Hi @super_zq I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing random crashes whilst playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Could you take a look at the PC troubleshooting article and run through all the steps listed then try again. The support article contains some of the most common fixes for crashes, freezing, FPS drops and more.

Please confirm if this resolves the issue. 

Hi @dxphii I'm sorry to hear that Assassin's Creed Valhalla keeps crashing.

I can see that you have already gone through the basic PC troubleshooting that we would generally suggest you try.

Could you also try running the system file checker tool to see if there are any missing or corrupted system files.

Also if you are using any CPU affinity software try disabling that too as another player who was experiencing crashes did this and it resolved the issue for them.

Could you please go through the Xbox troubleshooting then try again and confirm if the issue persists.

If it does can you confirm the following:

• If you have a disc or digital version of the game
• When the crashing started? If yesterday did it only start after installing the update?
• Which map are you currently playing when the game crashes?
• When it crashes are you doing anything particular in the game such as fighting, raiding etc?
• What gear and weapons do you have equipped?
• Is your console in a well ventilated area and not getting hot? If not and the console gets hot it can cause games to crash.
• Have you experienced crashes on any other games you have been playing?
