I play on PC, and I've been encountering an issue that's made the game unplayable for me. Whenever I try to return to England from Francia, the game crashes on the loading screen. I can go from Francia to Ireland, but the game crashes similarly when I try to return to England from there as well. Very frustrating.

I am sorry to hear that the game is crashing when you try to fast travel back to England.
First of all can you please go through the PC troubleshooting steps in the support article here then try again.
If the issue persists can you confirm what is happening, does the game crash to the desktop and do you receive a crash error? Or does the game freeze or get stuck on an infinite loading screen?
