So yesterday, all of a sudden, I get an error when loading Valhalla saying that the local save game file is not in sync with the data on the cloud. It then proceeds to tell me to choose a save to load from, either the save from the 13th or a cloud save from January 18th.

I have contacted Ubisoft to no response, so I have no idea how to fix this.

Please note that previously, I was playing back and forth on my Steam Deck and PS5 with no problems. Saved would easily transfer over from one to the other seamlessly.

Now it seems I can only play on my Steam Deck because it's the only console with the most recent save. The PS5 pulled what seems to be a random save from the cloud, and it's left there. I can't continue on the PS5 because my save data on the steam deck is further ahead. And I can't update the cloud save on my steam deck because of the Ubisoft connect error with the cloud data.

Why it chose all the way back to January 18th, I'm not sure. But those are my choices every single time I load the game. And even with a new save file and the cloud file "seemingly" being updated, according to the save logs, I sell can not fix this issue.

Has anyone else encountered this? And is there a fix?

Thank you in advance

Hi @fr0stbyte612 I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your cloud save.

At this stage, we are unable to guarantee full compatibility between Ubisoft games and services and Steam Deck / SteamOS. Certain games could work; however, we are unable to assist in case of compatibility issues.

You can also reach out to the Steam Deck discussions for support.
