This is an odd issue that i ran into. i was able to play in Norway just fine but as soon as i left for england (after the cabin interlude) the game would crash (the crashes happened when entering the animus)
After extensive googleing and trying a lot of different changes, i found the issue. i thought i should share so that people don't need to feel my pain...
the root of the issue has to do with my video card (AMD RX 580) there appears to be an issue with the HDMI audio drivers that will cause the game to crash.
by going into device manager and disabling the AMD high definition audio device and the AMD streaming audio device I was able to continuing playing without an issue.
no clue why this works but it does...
