There is a bug where if you change regions while connecting, the game may overwrite your region data with the wrong region. This makes you connect to the wrong region later. It can easily cause room codes to not be found. You can fix this by deleting the serverInfo2 file found at
%appdata%\..\LocalLow\Innersloth\Among Us
Then restart Among Us.

Hey all,

The previous changes went public, so I worked extra to get this change out into beta.

In the Online menu, there is now a little globe in the bottom right. This is the new region selector. Tap it to change regions. I don't have auto select working yet, so the default is basically random. I'll fix it before it goes public.

Important: Regions are different from language filters. If you are in the North America region and your friend creates a game in the Europe region, the game code will not be found when you try to join!

We needed this kind of feature because we hit a limit in how many gameplay servers our matchmakers could handle. We have been thrashing against a 300k player limit. But now with three regions, we could potentially support ~1M concurrent players!

Keep in mind this is literally 24 hours of work, so the Europe and Asia regions are kinda half setup, but I hope this helps those of you brave enough for the beta b...

Hey all,

Just wanted to let people know there is a beta branch for Among Us. It's often just the normal version because I'm not making many changes, but right now, v2020.8.28 is up and has:

* Add Tagalog and Polish Language filters
* Add option for disabling shared "Visual Task" animations.
- When disabled, Medscan, Destroy Asteroids, Shields, both Garbage tasks will animate only for the player who is performing the task.
* Add option for disabling impostor confirmation after ejecting a crewmate.
- When disabled, "Player was ejected" is always displayed and the remaining impostor count is omitted.

It is not compatible with the public version, so it will not show any games with a different version and will complain about incorrect version if you attempt to join and a different versioned game via code.

Feel free to post bugs the **pertain to these changes**. General disconnects and server load are still being improved as quickly as ...

Hey everyone,

I guess it's time for another server update. I made all the changes I mentioned last time and am adding more and more servers. We've doubled the number of servers, actually. And for a few good days, that was actually enough.

But a whole new wave of players are joining, so here's a look at the past few days. Almost 3x players and still trying to keep up. I'm sad it's not as easy as "add more servers", but just know that I'm still working on it.

Pretty exciting to cross 250k active players.

Hey, thanks for pointing this out. I think Steam added some new tags and things got messed up. We def aren't splitscreen, but we do support LAN, so I fixed our features tags.

Among Us anti-hack is a little overzealous and sometimes takes out whole rooms if one person is hacking. Sorry you guys sometimes get caught in the crossfire.

Reliable Packet 1 is the connection packet. It usually means there's a firewall on your PC (Windows Firewall or some antivirus programs) or your router that isn't letting UDP port 22022-22025 traffic through.

* Okay and close, then start Among Us.

Local multiplayer works by having everyone join the same wifi. Each player uses their own device. We also have a F2P mobile version with ads and fewer cosmetics so people don't *have* to buy the PC version. There is crossplay between PC and mobile.

Sorry, I don't plan on it. I tried to make a native Linux version previously, but I couldn't get it to work. I have heard of some mixed successes with Wine, though.

Scanner was still a bit op even after we let impostor use it because people were watching the taskbar (which didn't go up when Impostor used scanner), so we made scanner a long task and put fix wires in common instead. Impostor can still use it when it comes up in their fake tasks, and since it comes up less often, it should be more fair.

If you're having troubles dealing with the medscan task, close the medbay door and/or start a sabotage. If you don't like it, set common tasks to zero.

Discord integration makes it easy to share game codes. It creates a badge that live updates the game status and launches the game to join a room.

As ImRichSmartAndCool said, it's cheating to voice chat while playing public games. But we highly recommend getting friends in a private room to use voice chat during discussion.

Yeah, we aren't that popular in the USA. Sharing with friends or mentioning us on social media or streamers is probably the best way to help that.
