Hello everybody

I just brought the seacon III pass (docklands, tourist seacon and the high life) after downloading the pack I cant save my games, and the folders, where my game is installed have strange names. (look attached file) I have tried to uninstall, installe verify files ect. ect. nothing helps.

I can play the game, no problem, but I can't load a game.
at the start screen in the game, i can't "quick load" the last game - there is no "load button" in the start screeen, even that I just saved a game.

if I open a new game, and goes to the menu and push the load button, nothing happens...

I really really hope you can help me.

Best regards

Mikkel

Hey there,

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with saving and loading your progress.

It is great to hear you have already tried some troubleshooting steps,

Would it be possible to try the following steps?

  • Add the file Anno1800.exe as an exception to your Firewall/Antivirus program. You will find this in the location you installed the game
  • Start the game and Ubisoft Connect as administrator and make sure the Windows documents folder isn’t write-only

Any trouble just let us know.

Many thanks

Hey @dalsgaard_1,

Thank you for getting back to us with this!

As a test, are you able to Start a new game, Save and then try and load that up?

Thanks for your insights on this one, @Humility925 ! We really appreciate it. In this case, there could be many reasons for this unusual error, so while we'd always suggest being vigilant against viruses by keeping antivirus software running and updated, and running a periodic scan of your whole computer with it, I don't think that's any more likely to be what's happening here. Verifying the files in Ubisoft Connect is what we'd recommend for checking if files are corrupted or altered. That said, thanks once again for your thoughts!

@Dalsgaard_1 , we'll wait to hear from you in regards to Ubi-TheBerry's suggested test of starting a new game (with administrator rights active, as per Ubi-WheelyDuck's suggestion), and checking if this one can be saved and loaded. Looking forward to hearing your results 😎
