To start, please include a title that is descriptive of the issue you are experiencing. Ideally, the title should give other posters an idea of the issue before they click on the issue.
An example of a good title: Receiving error
An example of a bad title: HELP ME PLEASE

In your post, you should be as precise and descriptive as possible. We recommend the following template for the posts:
1) A short description of the issue. Please include any error codes here.
2) When the issue started to occur and what you were doing when it first started. Some things to consider would be if the issue started after a cut scene, after an update, during a specific part of the game.
3) Are you able to recreate the issue? If so, please include recreation steps on how you encounter this issue.
4) Have you tried any troubleshooting? We recommend checking out the troubleshooting FAQs in this post.
5) Your computers specifications. If you are not sure of your specifications, you can run a DXDIAG report. After you run the DXDIAG report, please tell us the following: Operating System, processor, memory (RAM), and display card (graphics card) name.

How do matchmaking rating and ranks work in Rainbow Six Siege?

What should I know about Alpha Packs?
Alpha Packs are a way to receive free cosmetics. Alpha Packs are also a way to get limited time cosmetics, such as the Black Ice Weapon Skin series. Information on getting Alpha Packs and their content can be found here.

How can I play with friends on another platform? Can I transfer my game / content to another platform?
At this time, there is no cross-platform support for this game.

How does Matchmaking Rating roll back work in Rainbow Six Siege?
Matchmaking Rating (MMR) rollback was introduced to reduce the impact cheaters may have on other players ranks. When a cheater is sanctioned, the feature will roll back any rating gains and losses for all players from matches that the banned player took part in. This does not have an impact on your rewards. This means that if you are affected by a roll back, you will still receive seasonal rewards that match the highest rank you reached. Further details can be found here.

Why didn't I receive my end of the Season charm?
If you did not receive your charm, it may be one of these two situations:
  • Your account received a 15 day sanction for being boosted by a cheater. For details, please check out the code of conduct.
  • Your account did not have a ban. In this place please contact support,


TTS information
What platforms are the TTS on?
PC. If you have the game on console, you should be able to access the TTS on PC if you use the same Ubisoft account that you use to play on console.

How do I report bugs from the TTS?
Please report them on the R6Fix module for the TTS here.

I don't see the TTS in Uplay, help!
The TTS will only be available when it is active. The TTS subreddit will say if it is is active at this time. If it is active, please make sure you are logged into the same account you play Rainbow Six Siege on. If you are, please contact support.

Cheating and banning
Information on bans and reporting can be found below.

Temporary bans
Please note: support does not have the ability to lift temporary bans.

Team Killing
After an intentional team kill is validated, Reverse Friendly Fire will be enabled and stay active for the duration of the match, instead of kicking the player. We will continue to track team kills, and we may issue appropriate sanctions after multiple offences. Duration of a suspension will be decided at Ubisoft’s discretion, on a case by case basis.

Disconnection from the game
In order to keep the game enjoyable for everybody, players who disconnect from a ranked game will be temporarily banned and receive a Renown or Rank penalty. If you are experiencing disconnections, connection troubleshooting may help.

Toxicity Report
If a player is found to be in violation of our code of conduct, they may be given a temporary Toxicity ban.

Permanent Bans
If a player violates the code of conduct, disciplinary action will be taken. This can include a permanent ban. To appeal a permanent ban, please contact support.

How can I report a player in Rainbow Six Siege?

Controls and Accessibility

Am I able to remap keys and controls on PC?
Yes! To do this:
  • Head to the main menu and select the Options gear icon.
  • Enter the Controls sub-menu.
  • Select Customize Controls.
  • Then, select the key that you would like to change and press another key in order to modify it.
Please note controller layouts cannot be modified.

Which accessibility features are included in Rainbow Six Siege?
Aim Assist
To activate aim assist, please follow the steps below:
  • Head to the main menu and select the Options gear icon.
  • Enter the Controls sub-menu.
  • Then, select Enabled in the aim assist option.

Vibration Feedback
To enable the vibration feedback for your controller, please follow the steps below:
  • Head to the main menu and select the Options gear icon.
  • Enter the Controls sub-menu.
  • Make sure that your controller is connected to your platform. Then, select Enabled in the Vibration option.

Subtitles
To activate the subtitles, please follow the steps below:
  • Head to the main menu of the game and select the Options gear icon.
  • Enter the Audio sub menu.
  • You have now the opportunity to enable subtitles and to choose text languages.

Open mic and push to talk
To activate Push to Talk or to let your microphone permanently open, please follow the steps below:
  • Head to the main menu of the game and select the Options gear icon.
  • Enter the Audio sub menu.
  • Select Voice Chat Record Mode and switch between options in order to activate Push to Talk or Open Mic features.
  • To set the minimum microphone volume level in order to detect your voice, adjust the Voice Chat Record Level option.

Sound levels for effects, speech and background/music noises.
To change your audio settings, please follow the steps below:
  • Head to the main menu and select the Options gear icon.
  • Enter the Audio sub-menu.
  • Adjust the sliders for those different kind of noises to improve your gaming experience.

Changing the FOV
To change the field of view, please follow the steps below:
  • Head to the main menu of the game and select the Options gear icon.
  • Enter the Display sub menu.
  • Select Field of View and adjust the value as you wish.

Changing Contrast
To change contrast, please follow the steps below:
  • Head to the main menu of the game and select the Options gear icon.

  • Select and press the Calibration option.
  • You have now the opportunity to calibrate your display.

About in-game purchases and extra content


R6 Credits
R6 credits are optional currency that can be purchased in-game. R6 Credits can be used to buy Renown Boosters to generate renown at a faster rate, to buy a select few premium weapon skins, and as an additional way to unlock Operators instead of renown.

Twitch Drops
Watching the official stream for qualifying Ubisoft channels, or through other broadcasters we’ve partnered with for special campaigns, via Twitch has the added benefit of winning free rewards. To make sure you are able to receive twitch drops, please follow these steps:
1. Register here.
2. Log in with your Twitch Account and click Authorize.
3. Log in with your Ubisoft Account and click Activate my account.
4. Watch the stream.
Please ensure you are linking your Twitch account to the Ubisoft account that has the game on it.

I received a code for extra content in Rainbow Six Siege. How can I redeem this?
To redeem a code, please follow these steps:
1. Go to the redemption page and click on "login"
2. Then, please enter your Ubisoft credentials and click on Log In.
3. Once you are connected, please enter your redeem code and select your platform. If your platform is not already linked to your Ubisoft Account, you'll have the opportunity to link it directly on this page. Also, note that if you have received more than one code, you'll be able to redeem another code for another platform
4. Once you click on the Redeem button, your item will be available in your Loadout.

If you are having troubles with disconnections or other errors in Rainbow Six Siege, please keep a close eye on any error codes you receive. These will often show or point to the cause of the issue.

PC technical troubleshooting
If you are experiencing crashes or other issues on Rainbow Six Siege, please try the following steps:

1. Verify files
A good first step is to verify files. This checks to make sure there are no missing or corrupted files.
Uplay
  • In Uplay, click on Games tab at the top of the window
  • On the next screen, hover over the game tile. This will make a little arrow appear at the bottom right of the tile
  • Click on this arrow to make a drop-down menu appear, then click on Verify files
Epic
  • Navigate to Rainbow Six Siege in your library
  • Click verify
  • After verification, the launch option will appear

Steam
  • Restart your computer and launch Steam
  • From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
  • Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files... button.
  • Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.


2. Run Uplay with administrator rights
To do this:
  • Right-click the desktop icon of the application (or the executable file in the INSTALLATION DIRECTORY) and select Properties.
  • Select the Compatibility tab.
  • Click Change settings for all users.
  • Under Privilege Level, check Run this program as administrator.
  • Click Apply.

3. Disable background applications
A software conflict may be causing this issue. To do this:
  • Go to the Start menu on your Desktop. Press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time.
  • Type in MSCONFIG and press Enter.
  • Uncheck the Load Startup items box, then select the Services tab.
  • Check Hide all Microsoft services, then click the option to Disable All.
  • Press Apply, then Close and pick the option to Restart.
Try the game again, and see if this helped.

4. Check for Windows Updates.
If your operating system is out of date, it may cause issues. Please check this official Microsoft article for further details.

5. Uninstall and reinstall Uplay
It is strongly suggested you back up your save files before attempting this step.The uninstaller by default is found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher. You can reinstall Uplay by going here. Details on this step can be found on this FAQ.

6. Make sure your drivers are updated
Ensure that the drivers for your video card, sound card, motherboard and processor are all updated. SLI may also cause issues. If you are overclocking, try running at stock settings. You may want to also perform a clean installation of your video card drivers (AMD, NVIDIA)

7. Clear your temporary files.
  • Go to the Start menu on your Desktop.
  • Press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time.
  • Type in %TEMP% and press Enter.
  • Select All (Edit > Select All or Ctrl+A).
  • Click the Delete key.
Note: If you are using Windows 7, you will need to press Ctrl + A together to highlight the files. Once the files are highlighted, you will need to press the Delete key.

8. Reinstall supporting software

PC connection troubleshooting
If you are having issues with your connection to Rainbow Six Siege, please try the following troubleshooting steps.

1. Reset your network hardware
Resetting your network hardware allows it to re-establish a fresh connection to your ISP. To do this:
  • Shut down all computers/consoles connected to your modem and/or router.
  • Power down and unplug the modem and/or router.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug in and turn on the modem and/or router
This will power cycle your modem or router.

2. Make sure there are no software conflicts
A common cause of lag, disconnections or other connection issues is software conflicts.
  • Make sure that your proxy settings are setup correctly.
  • Update any personal firewall software.
  • Make sure that Windows Firewall is updated by making sure your Windows is current and updated.
  • If updating these programs does not help, try to configure the software to allow access to the game. This is usually done through the Exceptions List. If adding the game, make sure to add the executable (.exe file) for both Rainbow Six Siege and Uplay
  • Disable all background applications before running the game.

3. Enable UPnP
Some players have reported that enabling UPnP helped them to fix their issue. UPnP stands for Universal Plug and Play and allows applications to automatically forward ports. Due to the amount of different routers, we cannot provide exact steps and recommend you consult your routers manual or your ISP.

4. Port Forwarding
Port forwarding makes sure that the router's firewall does not interfere with the game's connection. For more information, please check out this FAQ. If you forward ports, please set up a static IP for your PC. Steps on how to do this can be found here.
The ports that are needed for Rainbow Six Siege are:
TCP: 80, 443
UDP: 10000-10099, 3074, 6015

5. Reset your host file
Resetting your host file rules out that an outdated configuration is the cause of your issue. The Hosts file is a text file created as part of your Windows OS. For steps on how to do this, please check out this FAQ.

6. Flush your DNS.
Your DNS cache stores the IP addresses of web servers and may have outargued or bad information. We recommend flushing your DNS cache to improve your connection. Instructions can be found here.

7. External restrictions
There may be restrictions set by your ISP or network administrator. Some examples of where this may be an issue include a university campus, a military base, or shared housing. If you believe this you are affected by this, please contact your ISP or network administrator.

If you are still experiencing connection issues after completing these steps, please create a ticket with a screenshot of your forwarded ports. Please do not post your ports on the forums for security purposes.

PC performance issues

If you are experiencing performance issues please try the following:

1) Check if your PC meets the system requirements. If your setup meets the minimum requirements, we recommend running the game with lower graphical settings, as higher presets may strain your system. If your setup meets the recommended requirements, the game will run smoothly in the vast majority of cases but specific graphical settings may require more powerful hardware.

2) Try our basic PC troubleshooting guide.

3) Change graphical settings. An easy way to boost performance is to head to the Graphics options screen and try turning parameters down to lower settings. To reach this screen:
  • From the Main menu, select the Options menu (gear icon) then click on Graphics
  • On this screen, you'll be able to change the Overall Quality to a lower setting or to fine-tune your settings. Keep in mind that some of those options are more demanding than others.
  • For example, try experimenting with the VSync settings, they can have an impact on your FPS rate.


4) Check VRAM by using the graph available in the Graphics section described above. Going over the available VRAM will very likely result in slower performances.

Other common issues

Issues with microphone or in-game chat on PC
If you are having troubles with your microphone on PC, this is often related to your Default Communications Device not matching your setting in game. Please check here for further details and steps.

Low FPS on PC
Please note that without an FPS limiter of some kind Rainbow Six will run as fast as possible with all the resources available on the PC. If you are having troubles with stuttering, please consider using the FPS limiter in the .ini files or using Vsync.

Bug Reports
If you seem to have found a bug in our game, we highly recommend R6Fix. Please select whether this issue is on the Test Server or the Live Server. After that you can Contribute the issues you've seen by reporting new ones or reporting that you can reproduce issues that others have seen. You can also Prioritize issues that others have already reported enough times. This helps us know what you consider top of your list!

Failed to load player profile on PC
This issue is caused by a corrupted local save and can often be resolved by replacing it with a new save file. Please follow these steps to see if they help:
1. Close the Uplay application down.
Please open your system tray by clicking the little arrow located to the right of your taskbar and check that the client is not running in the background.
2. If you own the game on Uplay or on the Epic Games Launcher:
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\\635 and copy the folder to your Desktop.
Once you have created a backup, delete the folder. If you own the game on Steam:
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\\1843 and copy the folder to your Desktop.
Once you have created a backup, delete the folder.
3. Start Uplay in administrator and disable the local save
4. Launch Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege.
5. Once in the game, customise an operator's loadout and complete a Situation to allow an autosave to be created.
6. Exit the game, and re-enable cloud save
7. Launch Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege again.
You should receive a prompt asking you which save you would like to use. Select the local save option - this will also update the cloud save.

Temporary bans
Please note: support does not have the ability to lift temporary bans.

Team Killing
After an intentional team kill is validated, Reverse Friendly Fire will be enabled and stay active for the duration of the match, instead of kicking the player. We will continue to track team kills, and we may issue appropriate sanctions after multiple offences. Duration of a suspension will be decided at Ubisoft’s discretion, on a case by case basis.

Disconnection from the game
In order to keep the game enjoyable for everybody, players who disconnect from a ranked game will be temporarily banned and receive a Renown or Rank penalty. If you are experiencing disconnections, connection troubleshooting (Xbox One, PS4) may help.

Toxicity Report
If a player is found to be in violation of our code of conduct, they may be given a temporary Toxicity ban.

Permanent Bans
If a player violates the code of conduct, disciplinary action will be taken. This can include a permanent ban. To appeal a permanent ban, please contact support.

About in-game purchases and extra content


R6 Credits
R6 credits are optional currency that can be purchased in-game. R6 Credits can be used to buy Renown Boosters to generate renown at a faster rate, to buy a select few premium weapon skins, and as an additional way to unlock Operators instead of renown.

Twitch Drops
Watching the official stream for qualifying Ubisoft channels, or through other broadcasters we’ve partnered with for special campaigns, via Twitch has the added benefit of winning free rewards. To make sure you are able to receive twitch drops, please follow these steps:
1. Register here.
2. Log in with your Twitch Account and click Authorize.
3. Log in with your Ubisoft Account and click Activate my account.
4. Watch the stream.
Please ensure you are linking your Twitch account to the Ubisoft account that has the game on it.

I received a code for extra content in Rainbow Six Siege. How can I redeem this?
To redeem a code, please follow these steps:
1. Go to the redemption page and click on "login"
2. Then, please enter your Ubisoft credentials and click on Log In.
3. Once you are connected, please enter your redeem code and select your platform. If your platform is not already linked to your Ubisoft Account, you'll have the opportunity to link it directly on this page. Also, note that if you have received more than one code, you'll be able to redeem another code for another platform

Xbox One technical troubleshooting
If you are experiencing crashes, performance issues, or any other issues on Rainbow Six Siege, please try the following steps:

1. Make sure your system is up to date
To do this, connect your console to the internet and check if any updates are available. Please check out this official Microsoft article!

2. Power cycle your Xbox One
  • Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds.
  • Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console/ the Xbox button on your controller.
Note If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

3. Clear your Xbox's cache
Clearing the cache erases temporary files, which if they become corrupted, may lead to connectivity issues. To do this:
  • Turn off the Xbox completely
  • Unplug the Xbox for two minutes
  • Turn the Xbox back on
Note: this will not clear any saves or installation.

4. Try another system
In order to determine if your issue is related to the individual console, your game disc or connection, it may be worthwhile to try with another Xbox One, if possible for you.

Xbox One connection troubleshooting
If you are having issues with your connection to Rainbow Six Siege, please try the following troubleshooting steps.

1. Reset your network hardware
Resetting your network hardware allows it to re-establish a fresh connection to your ISP. To do this:
  • Shut down all computers/consoles connected to your modem and/or router.
  • Power down and unplug the modem and/or router.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug in and turn on the modem and/or router
This will power cycle your modem or router.

2. Power cycle your Xbox One
Power cycling your Xbox will do various things, including reset your hardware's network activity.
  • Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for about10 seconds.
  • Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console/ the Xbox button on your controller.
Note If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

The ports needed for Rainbow Six Siege are:

TCP: 80, 443
UDP: 10000-10099, 3074, 6150

6. Place the console into the DMZ
Please follow the instructions on this FAQ. Please be aware that your Xbox will not be protected by your router's security measures in the DMZ. If you have concerns about the security of the network you are on, we recommend that you do not apply this troubleshooting step.

7. External restrictions
There may be restrictions set by your ISP or network administrator. Some examples of where this may be an issue include a university campus, a military base, or shared housing. If you believe this you are affected by this, please contact your ISP or network administrator.

If you are still experiencing connection issues after completing these steps, please create a ticket with a screenshot of your forwarded ports. Please do not post your ports on the forums for security purposes.

PS4 technical troubleshooting

  • Turn off the PS4.

  • Connect the DualShock controller with a USB cable.
  • Once connected, press the PS button on the controller. You should now see the Safe Mode options on the PS4.
  • Select option "5. Rebuild Database" and press X.
  • "The database will be rebuilt, it might take a few hours to rebuild the database" will show on the screen, press "OK".
  • Allow the database to rebuild. Afterwards the console will return to the sign-in screen.

4. Restoring Licenses
If you bought the game digitally or redeemed it via the PlayStation Store, try restoring licenses . This ensures that any content on your console matches your account's privileges.
  • On the PlayStation Dashboard, select Settings
  • Select Playstation Network/Account Management
  • Choose the option to Restore Licenses
  • Select Restore

5. Reinstalling the game files
If the issue persists or if you own a physical copy of the game, please try reinstalling the game files.
If the game is visible on the PlayStation home screen:
  • Hover over the game tile.
  • Press the Options button.
  • Select Delete.
You can also complete this, by following these steps:
  • Scroll to the right to locate the Library.
  • Hover over the game tile.
  • Press the Options button.
  • Select Delete.

What should I know about Alpha Packs?
Alpha Packs are a way to receive free cosmetics. Alpha Packs are also a way to get limited time cosmetics, such as the Black Ice Weapon Skin series. Information on getting Alpha Packs and their content can be found here.

How can I play with friends on another platform? Can I transfer my game / content to another platform?
At this time, there is no cross-platform support for this game.

How does Matchmaking Rating roll back work in Rainbow Six Siege?
Matchmaking Rating (MMR) rollback was introduced to reduce the impact cheaters may have on other players ranks. When a cheater is sanctioned, the feature will roll back any rating gains and losses for all players from matches that the banned player took part in. This does not have an impact on your rewards. This means that if you are affected by a roll back, you will still receive seasonal rewards that match the highest rank you reached. Further details can be found here.

Why didn't I receive my end of the Season charm?
If you did not receive your charm, it may be one of these two situations:
  • Your account received a 15 day sanction for being boosted by a cheater. For details, please check out the code of conduct.
  • Your account did not have a ban. In this place please contact support

Controls and Accessibility

Am I able to remap keys and controls on PC?
Yes! To do this:
  • Head to the main menu and select the Options gear icon.
  • Enter the Controls sub-menu.
  • Select Customize Controls.
  • Then, select the key that you would like to change and press another key in order to modify it.
Please note controller layouts cannot be modified.

Which accessibility features are included in Rainbow Six Siege?
Aim Assist
To activate aim assist, please follow the steps below:
  • Head to the main menu and select the Options gear icon.
  • Enter the Controls sub-menu.
  • Then, select Enabled in the aim assist option.

Vibration Feedback
To enable the vibration feedback for your controller, please follow the steps below:
  • Head to the main menu and select the Options gear icon.

Subtitles

PC technical troubleshooting
If you are experiencing crashes or other issues on Rainbow Six Siege, please try the following steps:

1. Verify files
A good first step is to verify files. This checks to make sure there are no missing or corrupted files.
Uplay
  • In Uplay, click on Games tab at the top of the window
  • On the next screen, hover over the game tile. This will make a little arrow appear at the bottom right of the tile
  • Click on this arrow to make a drop-down menu appear, then click on Verify files
Epic
  • Navigate to Rainbow Six Siege in your library
  • Click verify
  • After verification, the launch option will appear

Steam
  • Restart your computer and launch Steam
  • From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
  • Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files... button.
  • Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.


2. Run Uplay with administrator rights
To do this:
  • Right-click the desktop icon of the application (or the executable file in the INSTALLATION DIRECTORY) and select Properties.
  • Select the Compatibility tab.
  • Click Change settings for all users.
  • Under Privilege Level, check Run this program as administrator.
  • Click Apply.

3. Disable background applications
A software conflict may be causing this issue. To do this:
  • Go to the Start menu on your Desktop. Press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time.
  • Type in MSCONFIG and press Enter.
  • Uncheck the Load Startup items box, then select the Services tab.
  • Check Hide all Microsoft services, then click the option to Disable All.
  • Press Apply, then Close and pick the option to Restart.
Try the game again, and see if this helped.

4. Check for Windows Updates.
If your operating system is out of date, it may cause issues. Please check this official Microsoft article for further details.

5. Uninstall and reinstall Uplay
It is strongly suggested you back up your save files before attempting this step.The uninstaller by default is found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher. You can reinstall Uplay by going here. Details on this step can be found on this FAQ.

6. Make sure your drivers are updated
Ensure that the drivers for your video card, sound card, motherboard and processor are all updated. SLI may also cause issues. If you are overclocking, try running at stock settings. You may want to also perform a clean installation of your video card drivers (AMD, NVIDIA)

7. Clear your temporary files.
  • Go to the Start menu on your Desktop.
  • Press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time.
  • Type in %TEMP% and press Enter.
  • Select All (Edit > Select All or Ctrl+A).
  • Click the Delete key.
Note: If you are using Windows 7, you will need to press Ctrl + A together to highlight the files. Once the files are highlighted, you will need to press the Delete key.

8. Reinstall supporting software

PC connection troubleshooting
If you are having issues with your connection to Rainbow Six Siege, please try the following troubleshooting steps.

1. Reset your network hardware
Resetting your network hardware allows it to re-establish a fresh connection to your ISP. To do this:
  • Shut down all computers/consoles connected to your modem and/or router.
  • Power down and unplug the modem and/or router.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug in and turn on the modem and/or router
This will power cycle your modem or router.

2. Make sure there are no software conflicts
A common cause of lag, disconnections or other connection issues is software conflicts.
  • Make sure that your proxy settings are setup correctly.
  • Update any personal firewall software.
  • Make sure that Windows Firewall is updated by making sure your Windows is current and updated.
  • If updating these programs does not help, try to configure the software to allow access to the game. This is usually done through the Exceptions List. If adding the game, make sure to add the executable (.exe file) for both Rainbow Six Siege and Uplay
  • Disable all background applications before running the game.

3. Enable UPnP
Some players have reported that enabling UPnP helped them to fix their issue. UPnP stands for Universal Plug and Play and allows applications to automatically forward ports. Due to the amount of different routers, we cannot provide exact steps and recommend you consult your routers manual or your ISP.

4. Port Forwarding
Port forwarding makes sure that the router's firewall does not interfere with the game's connection. For more information, please check out this FAQ. If you forward ports, please set up a static IP for your PC. Steps on how to do this can be found here.
The ports that are needed for Rainbow Six Siege are:
TCP: 80, 443
UDP: 10000-10099, 3074, 6015

5. Reset your host file
Resetting your host file rules out that an outdated configuration is the cause of your issue. The Hosts file is a text file created as part of your Windows OS. For steps on how to do this, please check out this FAQ.

6. Flush your DNS.
Your DNS cache stores the IP addresses of web servers and may have outargued or bad information. We recommend flushing your DNS cache to improve your connection. Instructions can be found here.

7. External restrictions
There may be restrictions set by your ISP or network administrator. Some examples of where this may be an issue include a university campus, a military base, or shared housing. If you believe this you are affected by this, please contact your ISP or network administrator.

Xbox One technical troubleshooting
If you are experiencing crashes, performance issues, or any other issues on Rainbow Six Siege, please try the following steps:

1. Make sure your system is up to date
To do this, connect your console to the internet and check if any updates are available. Please check out this official Microsoft article!

2. Power cycle your Xbox One
  • Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds.
  • Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console/ the Xbox button on your controller.
Note If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

3. Clear your Xbox's cache
Clearing the cache erases temporary files, which if they become corrupted, may lead to connectivity issues. To do this:
  • Turn off the Xbox completely
  • Unplug the Xbox for two minutes
  • Turn the Xbox back on
Note: this will not clear any saves or installation.

4. Try another system
In order to determine if your issue is related to the individual console, your game disc or connection, it may be worthwhile to try with another Xbox One, if possible for you.

7. External restrictions
There may be restrictions set by your ISP or network administrator. Some examples of where this may be an issue include a university campus, a military base, or shared housing. If you believe this you are affected by this, please contact your ISP or network administrator.

PS4 technical troubleshooting
If you are experiencing crashes, performance issues, or any other issues on Rainbow Six Siege, please try the following steps:

1. Make sure your system is up to date

2. Power cycle your PS4
Try power cycling your PS4 as a first step.
  • Turn off the PS4.
  • Disconnect the power cable.
  • Wait 1 minute.
  • Reconnect the power cable and restart the console.

3. Rebuild your PS4's database
Rebuilding your database is similar to a computer disk defragmenter and will not affect your save data.
  • Turn off the PS4.
  • Once the PS4 is off, press and hold the power button until the PS4 beeps twice (this may take up to 10 seconds).
  • Connect the DualShock controller with a USB cable.
  • Once connected, press the PS button on the controller. You should now see the Safe Mode options on the PS4.
  • Select option "5. Rebuild Database" and press X.
  • "The database will be rebuilt, it might take a few hours to rebuild the database" will show on the screen, press "OK".
  • Allow the database to rebuild. Afterwards the console will return to the sign-in screen.

4. Restoring Licenses
If you bought the game digitally or redeemed it via the PlayStation Store, try restoring licenses . This ensures that any content on your console matches your account's privileges.
  • On the PlayStation Dashboard, select Settings
  • Select Playstation Network/Account Management
  • Choose the option to Restore Licenses
  • Select Restore

5. Reinstalling the game files
If the issue persists or if you own a physical copy of the game, please try reinstalling the game files.
If the game is visible on the PlayStation home screen:
  • Hover over the game tile.
  • Press the Options button.
  • Select Delete.
You can also complete this, by following these steps:
  • Scroll to the right to locate the Library.
  • Hover over the game tile.
  • Press the Options button.
  • Select Delete.
Please note, this will not affect your save data.

PC performance issues

If you are experiencing performance issues please try the following:

1) Check if your PC meets the system requirements. If your setup meets the minimum requirements, we recommend running the game with lower graphical settings, as higher presets may strain your system. If your setup meets the recommended requirements, the game will run smoothly in the vast majority of cases but specific graphical settings may require more powerful hardware.

2) Try our basic PC troubleshooting guide.

3) Change graphical settings. An easy way to boost performance is to head to the Graphics options screen and try turning parameters down to lower settings. To reach this screen:
  • From the Main menu, select the Options menu (gear icon) then click on Graphics
  • On this screen, you'll be able to change the Overall Quality to a lower setting or to fine-tune your settings. Keep in mind that some of those options are more demanding than others.
  • For example, try experimenting with the VSync settings, they can have an impact on your FPS rate.


4) Check VRAM by using the graph available in the Graphics section described above. Going over the available VRAM will very likely result in slower performances.

Other common issues

Issues with microphone or in-game chat on PC
If you are having troubles with your microphone on PC, this is often related to your Default Communications Device not matching your setting in game. Please check here for further details and steps.

Low FPS on PC
Please note that without an FPS limiter of some kind Rainbow Six will run as fast as possible with all the resources available on the PC. If you are having troubles with stuttering, please consider using the FPS limiter in the .ini files or using Vsync.

Bug Reports
If you seem to have found a bug in our game, we highly recommend R6Fix. Please select whether this issue is on the Test Server or the Live Server. After that you can Contribute the issues you've seen by reporting new ones or reporting that you can reproduce issues that others have seen. You can also Prioritize issues that others have already reported enough times. This helps us know what you consider top of your list!

Padlock on Features on PS4
If you have some padlocks on features, it could mean that the game is not yet fully installed. To check this, please check out this FAQ.

Failed to load player profile on PC
This issue is caused by a corrupted local save and can often be resolved by replacing it with a new save file. Please follow these steps to see if they help:
1. Close the Uplay application down.
Please open your system tray by clicking the little arrow located to the right of your taskbar and check that the client is not running in the background.
2. If you own the game on Uplay or on the Epic Games Launcher:
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\\635 and copy the folder to your Desktop.
Once you have created a backup, delete the folder. If you own the game on Steam:
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\\1843 and copy the folder to your Desktop.
Once you have created a backup, delete the folder.
3. Start Uplay in administrator and disable the local save
4. Launch Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege.
5. Once in the game, customise an operator's loadout and complete a Situation to allow an autosave to be created.
6. Exit the game, and re-enable cloud save
7. Launch Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege again.
You should receive a prompt asking you which save you would like to use. Select the local save option - this will also update the cloud save.

When is the Technical Test for Hyper Scape taking place?

The test will take place from July 2 2020 (15:00 UTC) to July 8 2020 (18:59 UTC).



Will the progress I made during the Hyper Scape Technical Test carry over to the final game?

Items unlocked as part of the Battle Pass during the Technical Test will remain on your account even after the test finishes. You will be able to access them on all platforms when the full game is released.

Access and download

From July 2 (16:00 UTC) - July 7 (15:59 UTC), you will have a chance to get access to the Hyper Scape Technical Test by watching a partnered broadcast.



Make sure your accounts are linked on the Twitch Drop website here. Once your accounts are linked, watch any Hyper Scape stream marked with "Drops Enabled!" You do not need Twitch Prime or to follow / subscribe to the channel to earn rewards.



To check if you have received a drop:

  • Visit your Twitch inventory.
  • Open your Twitch notifications (bell icon in the top-right).
  • Check the email address associated with your Twitch account.


Once received, go to Uplay and click on the Hyper Scape news banner to activate access.


Please note we are unable to transfer access to another account. Please check that you have linked your Twitch account to the correct Ubisoft account first.

5. Uninstall and reinstall Uplay

It is strongly suggested you back up your save files before attempting this step.The uninstaller by default is found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher. You can reinstall Uplay by going here. Details on this step can be found on this FAQ.



6. Make sure your drivers are updated

Ensure that the drivers for your video card, sound card, motherboard and processor are all updated. SLI may also cause issues. If you are overclocking, try running at stock settings. You may want to also perform a clean installation of your video card drivers (AMD, NVIDIA)



7. Clear your temporary files.

  • Go to the Start menu on your Desktop.
  • Press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time.
  • Type in %TEMP% and press Enter.
  • Select All (Edit > Select All or Ctrl+A).
  • Click the Delete key.
Note: If you are using Windows 7, you will need to press Ctrl + A together to highlight the files. Once the files are highlighted, you will need to press the Delete key.



8. Reinstall supporting software

What are Bitcrowns and what can I spend them on?
In Hyper Scape, Bitcrowns can be used to purchase cosmetic accessories, Battle Passes and Battle Pass tier upgrades. You can obtain Bitcrowns by leveling up specific tiers in the Battle Pass through completing in-game challenges and watching streamers who are using the Crowncast Extension. It is also possible to purchase Bitcrowns from the in-game store.

Can I use my Bitcrowns on multiple devices?
Items and Battle Passes purchased within Hyper Scape using Bitcrowns can be used across all platforms you play the game on.

Will the progress I made during the Hyper Scape Technical Test / Open Beta carry over to the final game?
Items unlocked as part of the Battle Pass during the Technical Test / Open Beta will remain on your account even after the test finishes. You will be able to access them on all platforms when the full game is released.

How does the Battle Pass system work in Hyper Scape?
Every Battle Pass introduces 100 tiers, each with different objectives you can complete to unlock Champions and customisation items. Your Battle Pass progress will be reset every Season.

Each Season will offer a Free Battle Pass which is available to all players, a Premium Battle Pass which can be purchased for 950 Bitcrowns, and a Hyper Battle Pass which can be purchased for 2500 Bitcrowns. You can purchase one Battle Pass per Season. Premium and Hyper Passes are only purchasable through the in-game store on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Please note that this purchase is non-refundable.

If you bought the Battle Pass later in the Season, you will unlock premium rewards retroactively to match your current Battle Pass tier.

Please note that Battle Pass content is bound to the account you purchased it with, and cannot be shared between accounts.

If you are having issues with your connection to Hyper Scape, please try the following troubleshooting steps.

1. Reset your network hardware
Resetting your network hardware allows it to re-establish a fresh connection to your ISP. To do this:
  • Shut down all computers/consoles connected to your modem and/or router.
  • Power down and unplug the modem and/or router.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug in and turn on the modem and/or router
This will power cycle your modem or router.

2. Rebuild your PS4's database
  • Turn off the PS4.
  • Once the PS4 is off, press and hold the power button until the PS4 beeps twice (this may take up to 10 seconds).
  • Connect the DualShock controller with a USB cable.
  • Once connected, press the PS button on the controller. You should now see the Safe Mode options on the PS4.
  • Select option "5. Rebuild Database" and press X.
  • "The database will be rebuilt, it might take a few hours to rebuild the database" will show on the screen, press "OK".
  • Allow the database to rebuild. Afterwards the console will return to the sign-in screen.


3. Enable UPnP
Some players have reported that enabling UPnP helped them to fix their issue. UPnP stands for Universal Plug and Play and allows applications to automatically forward ports. Due to the amount of different routers, we cannot provide exact steps and recommend you consult your routers manual or your ISP.

4. Port Forwarding
Port forwarding makes sure that the router's firewall does not interfere with the game's connection. For more information, please check out this FAQ. If you forward ports, you will also want to set up a static IP for your PS4. Instructions on this can be found here.
The ports needed for Hyper Scape are:
TCP: 80, 443, 3478, 3479, 3480.
UDP: 3478, 3479, 3658, 6115, 10000-10099.

5. Place the console into the DMZ
Please follow the instructions on this FAQ. Please be aware that your PS4 will not be protected by your router's security measures in the DMZ. If you have concerns about the security of the network you are on, we recommend that you do not apply this troubleshooting step.

6. External restrictions
There may be restrictions set by your ISP or network administrator. Some examples of where this may be an issue include a university campus, a military base, or shared housing. If you believe this you are affected by this, please contact your ISP or network administrator.

If you are experiencing crashes, performance issues, or any other issues on Hyper Scape, please try the following steps:

1. Make sure your system is up to date
To do this, connect your console to the internet and check if any updates are available. Please refer to this official Sony article.

2. Power cycle your PS4
Try power cycling your PS4 as a first step.
  • Turn off the PS4.
  • Disconnect the power cable.
  • Wait 1 minute.
  • Reconnect the power cable and restart the console.

3. Rebuild your PS4's database
Rebuilding your database is similar to a computer disk defragmenter and will not affect your save data.
  • Turn off the PS4.
  • Once the PS4 is off, press and hold the power button until the PS4 beeps twice (this may take up to 10 seconds).
  • Connect the DualShock controller with a USB cable.
  • Once connected, press the PS button on the controller. You should now see the Safe Mode options on the PS4.
  • Select option "5. Rebuild Database" and press X.
  • "The database will be rebuilt, it might take a few hours to rebuild the database" will show on the screen, press "OK".

  • Choose the option to Restore Licenses
  • Select Restore

5. Reinstalling the game files
If the issue persists or if you own a physical copy of the game, please try reinstalling the game files.
If the game is visible on the PlayStation home screen:
  • Hover over the game tile.
  • Press the Options button.
  • Select Delete.
You can also complete this, by following these steps:
  • Scroll to the right to locate the Library.
  • Hover over the game tile.
  • Press the Options button.
  • Select Delete.

Crowncast is a free interactive Hyper Scape add-on for your Twitch stream. It allows you to share your in-game stats and loadouts with your viewers and give them the opportunity to have a real-time impact on the match! The extension is available to download and activate directly through the Twitch Creator Dashboard. Set it up and launch it on your Hyper Scape stream to let your audience decide what happens next!

You can disable the extension at any time.

A common cause of lag, disconnections or other connection issues is software conflicts.

  • Make sure that your proxy settings are setup correctly.
  • Update any personal firewall software.

  • If updating these programs does not help, try to configure the software to allow access to the game. This is usually done through the Exceptions List. If adding the game, make sure to add the executable (.exe file) for both Hyperscape and Uplay
  • Disable all background applications before running the game.


3. Enable UPnP
Some players have reported that enabling UPnP helped them to fix their issue. UPnP stands for Universal Plug and Play and allows applications to automatically forward ports. Due to the amount of different routers, we cannot provide exact steps and recommend you consult your routers manual or your ISP.

4. Port Forwarding
Port forwarding makes sure that the router's firewall does not interfere with the game's connection. For more information, please check out this FAQ. If you forward ports, please set up a static IP for your PC. Steps on how to do this can be found here.

The ports that are needed for Hyper Scape are:

TCP: 80, 443, 50000 - 52000
UDP: 3074, 30000 - 32000

5. Reset your host file
Resetting your host file rules out that an outdated configuration is the cause of your issue. The Hosts file is a text file created as part of your Windows OS. For steps on how to do this, please check out this FAQ.

6. Flush your DNS.
Your DNS cache stores the IP addresses of web servers and may have bad information. We recommend flushing your DNS cache to improve your connection. Instructions can be found here.

7. External restrictions
There may be restrictions set by your ISP or network administrator. Some examples of where this may be an issue include a university campus, a military base, or shared housing. If you believe this you are affected by this, please contact your ISP or network administrator.

If you are experiencing crashes or other issues on Hyper Scape, please try the following steps:

1. Verify files
A good first step is to verify files. This checks to make sure there are no missing or corrupted files.
  • In Uplay, click on Games tab at the top of the window
  • On the next screen, hover over the game tile. This will make a little arrow appear at the bottom right of the tile
  • Click on this arrow to make a drop-down menu appear, then click on Verify files

2. Run Uplay with administrator rights
To do this:
  • Right-click the desktop icon of the application (or the executable file in the INSTALLATION DIRECTORY) and select Properties.
  • Select the Compatibility tab.
  • Click Change settings for all users.
  • Under Privilege Level, check Run this program as administrator.
  • Click Apply.

3. Disable background applications
A software conflict may be causing this issue. To do this:
  • Go to the Start menu on your Desktop. Press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time.
  • Type in MSCONFIG and press Enter.
  • Uncheck the Load Startup items box, then select the Services tab.
  • Check Hide all Microsoft services, then click the option to Disable All.
  • Press Apply, then Close and pick the option to Restart.
Try the game again, and see if this helped.

4. Check for Windows Updates.
If your operating system is out of date, it may cause issues. Please check this official Microsoft article for further details.

5. Uninstall and reinstall Uplay
It is strongly suggested you back up your save files before attempting this step.The uninstaller by default is found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher. You can reinstall Uplay by going here. Details on this step can be found on this FAQ.

6. Make sure your drivers are updated

Ensure that the drivers for your video card, sound card, motherboard and processor are all updated. SLI may also cause issues. If you are overclocking, try running at stock settings. You may want to also perform a clean installation of your video card drivers (AMD, NVIDIA)

7. Clear your temporary files.

  • Go to the Start menu on your Desktop.
  • Press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time.
  • Type in %TEMP% and press Enter.
  • Select All (Edit > Select All or Ctrl+A).
  • Click the Delete key.

Cross-platform content sharing

When venturing through the world of Assassin's Creed Valhalla across different platforms, you should keep in mind what content you can expect to be carried over.

Add-ons
Any additional content that you bought on your platforms storefront will not be accessible unless you own the content on all platforms you play on. For consoles with cross-generation entitlements you will be able to access content on the same console family.

If you own the Season Pass for Assassin's Creed Valhalla on PC you will not be able to access the Season Pass content with your save game on a different platform, unless you also own the Season Pass on that platform as well.

Any item that is dependent on the Season Pass will be removed from your inventory when you start playing on a different platform. Once you return to the platform where you own the Season Pass, they will be returned to your inventory.


Helix Credits
The hard currency of the game can only be used on the same platform that you bought them on. However you will be able to use the hard currency across the same console family.

If you buy Helix credits when playing on a PC, you will not be able to spend them on the in-game store on a different platform.

In-Game Store purchases
Content that was purchased in the in-game store with Helix credits will be accessible across different platforms. 

When you buy a cosmetic item in the in-game store with credits on the PC for example, you will be able to use the unlocked cosmetic item on any other platform that you start the game on.

In-game currency and items
Any items and in game currency that you find will be available for you to use when switching to a different platform as long as your latest save game was success transferred.

Cross-platform progression

Assassin's Creed Valhalla supports cross-progression, so you can carry your progress between different platforms!
When the game is saved automatically or if you create a manual save, it will upload the latest save game to the cloud storage*. This will overwrite the previous save file in cloud storage of the same type.

To make sure your progress is uploaded to cloud storage we recommend:
• Create a manual save before ending your session.
Wait a minute or two after the save animation has finished.
• Open the Main menu and choose Quit to Title Screen.
• Choose Load Game
• Check if the save you just created has a cloud icon next to the play time.

If the game is now started on a different platform it will try to load the most recent save from cloud storage, so you can start where you left off the last time. 

Please note that in order for this feature to work, you need to have your platform accounts linked to your Ubisoft account and your platform needs to be connected to the internet**.

In case of a degradation or outage of Ubisoft services, you can continue playing with your local save, but transfer to a different platform may only be possible once the issues have been resolved.

You can access items of the Berserker Gear Set in your inventory after completing the mission "Family Matters" and talking to Gunnar in Fornburg.

After talking to Gunnar and completing the quest, you will also receive the set of runes.

To start, please include a title that is descriptive of the issue you are experiencing. Ideally, the title should give other posters an idea of the issue before they click on the issue.
An example of a good title: Ubisoft Service is currently unavailable error
An example of a bad title: HELP ME PLEASE

Also select the relevant tags that are available to identify which platform you are playing the game on and what it relates to.

In your post, you should be as precise and descriptive as possible. We recommend the following template for the posts:

  • A short description of the issue. Please include any error codes here.
  • When the issue started to occur and what you were doing when it first started. Some things to consider would be if the issue started after a cut scene, after an update, during a specific part of the game.
  • Are you able to recreate the issue? If so, please include recreation steps on how you encounter this issue.
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting?
  • Your computer’s specifications. If you are not sure of your specifications, you can run a DxDiag report. After you have ran the DxDiag report, please tell us the following: Operating System, processor, memory (RAM), and display card (graphics card) name.
    • Example: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 16299). Intel Core i5-8350U CPU @1.70 GHx (8 CPUs). 8192MB RAM. NVidea GeForce GTX 970
  • Any screenshots or video of the issue, if possible. Please upload these to a hosting site, such as Imgur or YouTube.
  • If you’ve reached out to Ubisoft Support through our ticketing system, please include your support ticket reference number as well.
