After about 1 hour of playing a Singleplayer Sandbox game, the music in the Old World is now looping the New World songs. This is before I even unlocked the New World or visited it. It seems to be tied to the save file, because reloading the game save does not seem to fix the issue.

Hey @oginecka50 , welcome to the Discussions forum 🙂 I understand you've found the New World soundtrack to start playing before it is actually unlocked - that's really unusual.

I've gone ahead and reported this to our teams so we can have a look at this issue from our side. In the meantime, can you do a couple of things that will help us further with this for me?

First, please check our troubleshooting guide, which contains a few steps that make sure the game is running in the way we'd recommend. In particular from the guide, please make sure you are running the game with administrator rights, you've verified the game files, you've got your Windows install fully updated, and you've (at least temporarily, for testing) deactivated all background programs.

If the issue then yet persists with your save file, can you send it across to us? The file can be uploaded to the file-sharing site of your choice, so that you can link me to it here in the thread. You'll find the save file here: %userprofile%\Documents\Anno 1800\accounts

Please let me know if I can clarify any of these steps, and sorry for the inconvenience while we look into this. Let me know if you've got any questions 🙂

Howdy there again, @oginecka50 🙂

Our team has been investigating the issue you'd reported with New World music playing when it shouldn't, and they've asked me to ask you a few questions to help them narrow down what's happening. Can you answer the below for me?

  • How often has this happened? Was it just in one game? If more often, how often?
  • Do you recall what you were doing in the game when the incorrect music started playing? What particular activities? How far through the progression in the Old World were you?
  • Are you running the game with any mods?
  • If this issue still persists after the steps I'd linked in the previous post, could you record a video of it happening? We usually recommend this Xbox Game Bar guide from Microsoft for recording gameplay clips on PC, simply because you've likely already got it installed, and then the resulting video can be uploaded to any video sharing website of your choice (such as YouTube), and a link to the video sent to me here in the thread.

Let me know if I can clarify any of these questions!
