With the newest update of Anno 1800 I had to update my Anno 1800 Modloader. After this the game wouldn't work. Later on I read that I needed to update my 'spice it up' mod, but know I don't have any mines or harbour productionbuildings. How can I fix this?

Hello @RobertUncle3 thank you for getting in touch with us via the Anno 1800 forums.

When it comes to any issues with the game whilst mods are installed, the first thing we must do is ask players to completely uninstall all of their mods being used with the game and do a fresh reinstall of the game altogether.

Once you have been able to do this, please let us know if these problems still exist in the vanilla version of the game for you?

Hey there guys,

@wreckingball06 - are you also using mods alongside the game?

@RobertUncle3 - after completely uninstalling your mod files and launcher, did you also reinstall Anno 1800 too? As this would be required step to ensure no remaining mod files are left conflicting with the game.

Thank you!

Hello wreckingball06 I can confirm, we would have to advise you to do a fresh reinstall of the game, without any mods installed and even start a fresh save file, to be able to check if this issue was still present in the vanilla version of the game, in order for us to be able to offer any further troubleshooting or report this as an issue to our dev team.

Thank you for however letting us know that the name of the mod it was you were using is also called Spice It Up, this may make other players aware who are visiting this thread, after encountering in-game issues when using mods.

Further, to your question, I have actually opened up an investigation into the unbuildable min issues for players who contacted us about this who as far as I could see were not using any mods.

If you had mods installed and in use when the update for Anno 1800 released (April 12th), even if you later uninstalled them and verified your files, you will need to load a savegame from before Game Update 14 since all savegames created post GU14 with that mod still active will have this issue.

Hey @wreckingball06, thanks for your response and sorry to hear about the mines issue you ran into.

I've had a closer look and can see that similar matter has been brought up, however our team did face difficulties with reproducing it on our side, therefore could I kindly ask you to provide us with your save file where this issue is present? By default, it should be located in %userprofile%\Documents\Anno 1800\accounts.

Let us know and we will take it from there!
