[2021] Unable to use the fishing line | POST HERE

I apologise for the delayed response. Thank you for taking the time to share your report with us. I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble fishing in-game. Could you provide us with some more information?

• Are you unable to fish in any location, or have you only encountered this issue when fishing in specific locations (such as within Ravensthorpe, or within Norway)?
• Does this only happen when you fish from docks, or does it happen from all locations (such as along the coast, fishing on boats etc)?
• Could you send us a video which shows that you're unable to select the fishing option, even when standing on a level, stationary field?

We can then pass this along to the development team for a closer look.

@stustu07 I can confirm that the issue is still being investigated. Unfortunately it is not possible to add every known issue to the known issues list or mega thread list.

I can only advise you to keep checking the known issues list and the news and announcements page for updates.

I've merged together a couple of threads about being unable to use the fishing line after building the Fishing Hut. Creating a single thread helps us to keep all information and updates from an investigation in a single place. I apologise if any ongoing discussions have been disrupted by this merge.

The development team are aware of this issue, and they are currently investigating further. If you have been affected by this issue, can you please provide us with some additional information:

• When did this issue first occur? Was it immediately after building the fishing hut, or after carrying out another action?
• Have you been able to use the fishing rope anywhere at all?
• If you have any video footage which shows the issue in-game, please can you share it with us in this thread? This will be helpful for the ongoing investigation.
